I highly recommend. It’s different to previous class-led pilates that I’ve gone to before and I’ve changed to it from another cardio and strength class.
First I love the stretching equipment! You really improve (with instruction) on how to get the body position and movement right to benefit the right muscles in the right place and how to align your breathing with these movements. A Pilates group class or app is simply not as effective here. I really feel I’ve been stretched to the max at a session without pain the following day.
Secondly I am not well coordinated ( mind and body not well connected which puts me off group classes) and so I’ve found Luz to be knowledgeable, observant, adaptable and patient so she knows when to change the instruction so I get it (!) and move my body to the right position etc., without me feeling like an idiot. I just find it more bespoke and attentive to my needs.
Finally, an hour of effective stretching and breathing with this method really sets up my attention and work focus for the day and along with my cycling and ‘zoe’ app eating is really helping me lose weight and shape up!
Highly recommend and costs well worth it due to the many benefits to me.

Doing pilates on the reformer is something I had always wanted to try because I thought it would compliment my fitness routine but it always seemed so daunting to me. Luz is a person with a very big heart and she has a very calm, peaceful demeanor to her. She genuienly wants the best for each of her clients and it shows with the personalized programs that she builds and modifies by her continuously observing your body movements and limitations. The most personalized touches she has is not only her frequent verbal cuing, but also her hands on guidance to make sure you learn the movements correctly and fully...she also doesn't let you cheat :).
