A Tale of Two Experiences at Janvier Jewelry: 3/5 StarsMy journey with Janvier Jewelry began on a note of serendipity. As a recipient of a magnificent diamond ring from my dear wife on our wedding anniversary, December 24th, my experience with this establishment has been a tapestry of contrasts.
Upon my initial visit for sizing, I encountered Jack. His demeanor, perhaps a quirk of his personality, held a certain reserve. Though the array of rings captivated me, I resolved to return, hoping for a different interaction.
Enter Ron, a paragon of what a sales associate should embody – classy, personable, intuitive. His ability to discern our tastes and preferences was nothing short of remarkable. Under his guidance, what began as a casual perusal transformed into a decisive purchase. His intelligence and kindness were the beacons that illuminated our experience.
The craftsmanship of Janvier is undeniable. The diamond ring, ready in merely a day, is a marvel of beauty. It glistened under the Christmas lights, a perfect symbol of enduring love, albeit slightly large. The swift turnaround for resizing, completed in just a few days, was impressive.
My overall experience at Janvier was one of satisfaction, marked by moments of warmth and disconnect. While some associates, like Ron, go above and beyond to enrich the customer experience, others seem less inclined. A discerning eye might sense a subtle undercurrent, an unspoken narrative influenced by preconceived notions. Yet, this is a story of triumph, of service that transcends.
In conclusion, Janvier Jewelry, with its exquisite pieces and a gem like Ron, earns a solid 3 out of 5 stars. The establishment shines in its craftsmanship and efficiency, with room to polish its customer...
Read moreDO NOT buy anything from this jeweler, unless you are absolutely positive that it will never break or lose a diamond. They do not offer cash refunds under ANY circumstances. Only in store credit. Once you buy something there you are stuck with their poor customer service and even poorer quality of jewelry forever. The diamonds in my wife's wedding band started falling out on their own within 3 months. We "traded it in" having to pay even more for a wedding right she didn't like as much. After 2 months a diamond in the halo fell out. We tried to negotiate with them, hoping to trade it in for a simple solitaire ring that was less expensive and hopefully get a refund for the difference in price. They refused and said that they would only offer in store credit. I wanted to talk to the owner but was told that he only comes into the store when he pleases so it would be hard for me to set up a time to talk to him face to face. I had to wait a week for him to be back from his vacation before he would even give me a call to settle the problem. I tried to be reasonable and honest, but the call ended in the owner yelling at me and not budging at all. We are now stuck with this ring and will have to drive to their store every time a diamond "jumps out" as they say. They appear to be cheaper than other stores at first but the initial difference in price is not worth all the future frustration. Hopefully you find another place that has...
Read moreI am very heartbroken once I found out the truth. About two years ago me and my fiancé came in there to look at engagement rings. We walk up to a salesman. We told the salesman exactly what kind of money we had and the salesman was very courteous, seemed very genuine, he started showing us settings and diamonds. So my fiancé picked out what she liked we had the diamond mounted into the setting. She came to pick it up a couple days later and we thought the Dallas was one of the happiest days of our life. This has never came off her finger never been anywhere other than the same place where we bought it your store to have it cleaned. So my fiancé passed away on March 9 I take the ring somewhere so I can get it appraise and get it insured and do I find out it’s not a diamond it’s a moissanite , so the salesman lied to us and told us something that we didn’t even ask for and of course we’re not jewelers so we don’t know what we’re looking at when we buy it we trusted the guy. To find out that I was engaged with a ring that wasn’t even what I thought it was and my fiancé has passed away now, so I can’t even give her the ring that she deserved is kind of disheartening, so be careful when you go to this place less than honest salesman could put you gentleman in a very tough situation. Could possibly make you...
