Finally Visited The Cheesecake Factory
I've heard so much about The Cheesecake Factory from friends and family, so I decided to check it out for a date night with my girlfriend. The overall experience was fantastic, aside from a brief, laughable encounter with a disruptive diner near us. Thankfully, the restaurant staff quickly handled the situation, ensuring it didn’t affect our evening or impression of the place.
Overall Ratings:
Restaurant: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Parking: Free Parking
Restaurant: The decor and layout of the restaurant are impressive. Everything is clean and well-maintained, including the restrooms. One highlight is the cheesecake display, which makes it easier to decide (or not!) with so many tempting options. The overall atmosphere was inviting and cozy.
Service: We arrived at 7 PM on a busy Friday night and were fully prepared for a 30+ minute wait. The location is conveniently next to a mall entrance, so browsing shops while waiting wasn’t an issue.
When we checked in, the hostess, Brie, greeted us warmly and was professional, courteous, and accommodating. After we were seated, we had an unfortunate encounter with a disruptive woman at a nearby table. She was loudly chatting on her phone and even started rapping and narrating what we were doing. Her behavior was laughable but disruptive, and within five minutes, my girlfriend asked Brie if we could be moved. Despite how busy it was, Brie quickly found us a new table, which we greatly appreciated.
Our waiter, Ethan, was equally fantastic. He was welcoming, attentive, and polite, ensuring all our requests were met. For example, we asked to take our cheesecake to go since it was getting late and also requested extra brown bread (which I absolutely loved!). Ethan handled everything efficiently and exceeded our expectations.
Food and Drinks: We tried a variety of drinks and dishes:
Drinks:
-Whiskey Sour: Good. -Malbec: Enjoyable.
Food:
-Jamaican Chicken & Shrimp: Delicious! The flavors were spot-on, with just the right amount of Jamaican spice, and the dish was cooked perfectly. -Cajun Jambalaya Pasta: Excellent! The pasta was fresh, and the dish had a rich, flavorful kick.
Conclusion: Without a doubt, I’ll be returning soon to explore more items on the menu. Initially, I was concerned about the large menu, as it can sometimes indicate average food quality, but they nailed the balance here. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff, coupled with the high-quality food, made us feel well taken care of. This visit was a memorable experience, and I highly recommend...
Read moreMy party was seated at approximately 3:40pm, the table we were seated at was not cleaned and we requested it be wiped down. It took 15 minutes for the server to come back with a rag to wipe the table down. After the server returned from wiping the table down, she informed us that we would have a different server as she is clocking out and leaving. The new server took our drink orders and gave us bread, however we had been seated for over 20 minutes at this point. We finally ordered our food after our drinks and bread arrived, which were 1 appetizer and 4 entrees. The appetizer arrived promptly, however the first of the entrees did not arrive until an hour later. The two of us who had received our entrees waited patiently for the other 2 entrees to arrived, but they never came. Our server came back to us saying she did not know where the missing 2 entrees are and that the kitchen is remaking them. The server apologized for the mix up and said that a manager would be stopping by the table. At this point it was around 4:45pm and we had to leave the restaurant by 5:20pm for a prior arrangement. After being notified that the other two entrees were being remade and realizing that we would not have time to sit down and eat them, we informed our server that we would like the 2 entrees boxed up to go before they came out. The server acknowledged and told us she would have the entrees boxed up. Shortly after a manager did come by the table with the missing two entrees on a plate, to which we informed her they were supposed to be boxed up as we had to leave. The manager took the plates back and our server returned with the entrees boxed up. Not once did the manager apologize for the hour wait and missing entrees. We were celebrating a birthday in the party so this type of service was very disappointing. Furthermore, the birthday person was not able to get cheesecake at all, nor eat their food because of the delay. Mistakes happen from time to time, however I find the way this situation was handled unacceptable. The waitress was the only restaurant staff who apologized for the mistake, while the managers on duty paid no mind. Not to mention we paid full sit down price and tip for a far below average experience, and a waste of time and celebration. Not a single person in our party was able to finish their entree and instead of enjoying a meal together, we left with full...
Read moreOverall did not enjoy my experience. Our server needs to be retrained.
When we first arrived we had no wait for a table. That was great because usually there is a wait. Once we were sat it took out waiter over 10 minutes to come to us to introduce themselves. Add another 5 for drink orders (given w/out straws). By that time we knew what we wanted and placed our order for food so we didn’t have to wait for our server to come back 15 minutes later. Food took roughly 30 minutes to come out (no issue with that wait time).
In between that time our server refilled our drinks and got them wrong. We didn’t fuss and just drank what we were given. While eating our meal we needed refills and gave our correct drink orders again to waiter…still came back wrong and he left before we could say anything.
We didn’t finish our meal because it was a lot and waited for our server to get boxes…they came over and said I’ll be right back. Ok no problem…20 minutes later we were able to request boxes and a menu for dessert. 15 minutes later they informed us they can box up our food while they also put in our dessert order and brought us the check.
Another 20 minutes goes by before we get the check and our food that they boxed up. We then waited another 15 minutes for our to go dessert. During that time they didn’t take our check to cash us out or anything. We got fed up and paid online. Once we received our dessert we ran because we were tired of sitting there.
Spoke with management to let them know that it’s one thing to have a wait but when your server is assisting other tables at a great pace but not yours there is an issue. And when I mentioned the issue I assumed it was management didn’t even want to consider it and wanted to shut down the conversation. Two men having dinner together shouldn’t have horrible service while everyone else seemed to be getting great service.
Our server was engaging with other tables without an issue but with us they couldn’t be bothered. We’ve been to this establishment numerous times and never any issues. But when I see we are the only males having dinner together in our area and our service is truly poor while others appear to be having great service it makes me wonder if our server had an issue with us.
I say management and the server need...
