Brownsville Municipal Court — Local services in Brownsville

I work Monday through Friday and don’t get out until 3:15

I managed to get here at 3:30 and already had my application for the birth certificate filled out to make it easier for them.

Their sign says no more sign-ins at 3pm when they close at 4:30 and there was only 2 people ahead of me. But still they couldn’t risk having to deal with one extra person. What a shame. They do nothing to help people. They can’t be bothered with even the slightest inconveniences.

How is someone like me who works at the exact times they are open supposed to come in and get MY birth certificate for MY records ?? Even when I make every effort to get here from work in Harlingen, they can’t be the least bit sympathetic and help us get our documents. Stuff like this is exactly why that guy built that armored bulldozer and tore down those buildings.

The damn place would be more useful as a parking lot. The city needs to re-evaluate how this...

This place is okay..all of the employees are very kind..except for some judges they don't care if your sick or about your medical problems all they want is money...my girlfriend was very sick in an out of hospitals an in an out of the e.r.way before she got those tickets..well she had proof of why she didn't get to pay the tickets some lady judge yelled at her telling my girlfriend no I dont want to hear excuses witch they weren't excuses..my girlfriend also has kidney disease...but the judge was very very rude an disrespectful..if only she knew the pain my girlfriend is going thru..how can people be so hate full...well there's only one god an god knows..it's all about the money..what being in power does to people..don't worry people god is in control...not them or her.have a great wonderful day an may god...

Well my experience has been less than stellar. The court did show its bias and it protected a thief. The worst part was running into a former city attorney and he told me that my experience (the police helped a woman steal my dog and file a false police report) is "standard operating procedure" and he laughed about it.

The city commission needs to consider that if the police are not enforcing the law correctly and KNOW the law, they are breaking the law and despite qualified immunity, it puts BROWNSVILLE...
