Hannaford Supermarket — Local services in Brunswick

Use to come here pretty often but won’t be anymore. Went there on my lunch break to get a few meat items for dinner for my family. I had 13 items, I counted. It was pretty busy there and me being 7 months pregnant and tired as it is decided to go to the express checkout that said 14 and under items, instead of the one other lane open or the self checkout. A hannaford employee comes up behind me with items they are buying themselves and says “excuse me this is the express lane” I said “ yes and I have under 14 items? Did you need me to go somewhere else?” She responds “no just let me go first because I only have a few items” I was completely mind blown and left the lane and went back to work super late after having to go to the long lane and start over my wait. Was disgusted that this happened to me clearly pregnant and didn’t have more than 14 items by an employee themselves. I’ll...

This is specifically for the Deli Department at the Gurnette Road location. I went to the Deli to get some thin sliced turkey. Purchasing presliced has become expensive because it is sliced way to thick. 1/2 pound is about 5 slices. So I thought I would have it sliced instead of the usual "grab n' go". The woman behind the counter looked at me like I had 3 heads. I asked for what I wanted and she didn't speak English. She went to the front of the case and pointed to the pre sliced items making noises like she was confused. I said, I don't want that, I want it sliced. She went back to the case, pointed and spoke in another language. I repeated myself. She went back behind the counter and ignored me. I walked away VERY upset. This is not ok. If you cannot speak English, you should not have a position dealing directly...

I have been shopping at this Hannaford for about a year now. The staff are so friendly and kind but I must shed light on amazing experience I had recently. I was out with my 9 month old and while at the checkout she got fussy and wanted to be held. She kept dropping her toy on the ground. The manager came around and personally took the toy and washed it for me. Then they went out of their way to open another register so I could get through faster with my daughter. People offered to help unload as my hands were already full. Thank you Hannaford employees for always making my shopping...
