I went in with my elderly dad to help him with ordering weather tech floor mats. Pointing out that the insurance card with a Subaru legacy listed on it was wrong that we have an impreza, I understand not hearing the customer and why the order may have been misunderstood. But he denied that we ordered correctly. I specifically said first thing, my dad is here to order floor mats for his Impreza. All that was needed was the sales person to double check. Look outside. We did tell him twice.
When the order came in wrong, I told my dad that its not right and not going to fit. I went back in and asked the staff in the garage if the mats would fit or not. They said the mats would fit in any legacy outback and will surely fit in an Impreza. And I said, " We'll we will find out."
and...They don't. I understand if you have knowledge by all means share it if it is accurate and relevant.
So, we returned and the sales person didn't remember any mention of Impreza albeit we said so several times. And our explanation was interpreted as more of an excuse session as to why it wasn't the sales person's fault. I get it. all that needed to be done was to swap it out with the right one. I couldn't proceed anymore.
So, we asked for a refund instead of ordering from them again seeing the staff was well...wrong and our time was essentially wasted. Well, they couldn't give us a refund with out the Owner Chris present. I asked for them to call and waited until he did so only after I trolled the owner on Facebook to please contact us. We returned again. And... Somehow the register charged us instead of made a return. He explained the mistake and finally returned $429 to my father's card. They messed up on almost every part albeit they don't seem like bad guys and present their store as knowledgeable. I won't shop here again.
I also asked for a quote on a backup camera for my truck. The quote was $600!!!! outrageous. I read the sign for backup camera audio and the hourly rate is $99 to $299 an hour depending. ???really? I'll install it myself. Nothing personal but I can't believe anyone would pay that much.
If your on the fence about going here or not you'll have a better experience ordering these kind of items on the internet. I wouldn't...
Read moreSelling a Dodge Caravan that already had a remote starter, I needed one for the newer Dodge Grand Caravan SXT replacement. Asking around, Jam Audio was often suggested.
I then asked my mechanic of 25+ years about installing one. I got the look! Which means "don't wanna do it". I wasn't going away, so he thought about it and recommended Jam Audio down the street.
Minutes later they patiently showed me my many choices, features and prices of each unit. While he multi-tasked with staff and greeted other walk-ins, I finally decided on the Fortress Pro Start G4, even though the fob was appreciably larger than another one offered. Professional upsell, it worked :)
About then a car was just finishing so he drove mine right inside. I browsed a few magazines and in no time he announced it was ready. I've waited longer than that for an oil change!
Still parked inside the warm garage he gave me an casually paced demo of its use and features by him demonstrating. Then, he had me operate the functions, correcting me as I went , and included a few operating tips tips as well. Nice people!
That was February 21, 2013. Now almost 8 years ago (I don't like to change cars!) it's time to upgrade vehicles again. This time I want to swap the Fortress Pro Start G4 from the current '05 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT to a newer Chrysler Town and Country, Dodge Grand Caravan or Honda Odyssey Extended, if Jam Audio will do it for me?
I've been shopping for awhile and I will find the right vehicle, price, mileage and 'tall old guy' creature comforts, then you know exactly where I'm going.
Drop by Jam Audio, say hello, browse the wide range of stock and capabilities. It's like taking your car to it's second home...
Read moreJust had the windows tinted and sound-system upgraded in my new WRX. Picked it up yesterday and am thoroughly impressed with the sound quality, tint-quality, workmanship on the system installation, etc.
That's the short review. The longer review is as follows... I drove approximately three hours round-trip to drop the car off and another three hours round-trip to pick the car up. The place close to where I live did not answer the phone or respond to emails, but Chris at Jam Audio answered after the second ring. The price I was initially quoted was a little steep for my budget and Chris worked with me and offered a slightly different installation for a reduced cost (I ended up going with the better setup because you only live once right!? :) ). Oh yeah and he had everything (i.e., new speakers, two subs, two amps, a digital processor, and the window tint) all done in one day. So I was able to drop it off and pick it up in one day (on a Saturday to boot).
So... I commend Chris (and Jam Audio) on his work quality. I commend him on his work ethic (you'd think answering the phone for the other business was some hard thing to do). I also commend him for working with my schedule. Absolutely NO complaints here whatsoever. My car is even more beautiful and the system sounds amazing for any range of music I...
