Normally I do not take to writing reviews. I purchased a bread maker at the Brunswick OH location on 12/24/23. I needed to return the maker as I needed a new paddle. I initially phoned Oster to see if I could purchase the part, as I am a busy professional and do not have the time to run around. They informed me that the bread maker I purchased from the Brunswick OH location is obsolete. They are no longer making them and therefore there are no parts. The gentleman at Oster said they must have had an old lot they wanted to get rid of. He asked for the receipt to give me a full credit. Otherwise, they will give me a toaster oven in lieu. I don’t have it unfortunately. However I figured like Target and Walmart they would be able to run my cc and see the transaction. They cannot do that either. There was nothing they could do because they can no longer find the product in their system as it is obsolete. I am out of luck. So back to working with Oster. I asked for a store credit for the 138.00 bread maker. No was the store managers response. This was my first purchase at this store. It will be my last and my entire family will stop going to Mieyer. I have owned several businesses and am in sales. At the end of the day, it is about making it right with your paying customer. Because when you do not it is word of mouth that will destroy your reparation. I spend a lot of money at stores. I WILL drive clear across the state before I ever walk into Mieyer again. There was one nice kid. He will go far and will not last long; as he is going to quickly be onto better things. Thank you for the great...
Read moreThis location can really be a roll of the dice depending on the day. On one hand It’s super clean, and everything is easy to find. It’s in a convenient location. Pharmacy is great at getting things done fast. On the other hand, I always have to check the expiration dates on stuff. I was looking at yogurt a couple days ago and it was over a month expired. I let a staff member close by know and the poor kid looked like he wanted to die when he walked over to fix it. A year or so ago my boyfriend bought a bbq sauce that was over A YEAR expired. Luckily he returned it with no problem, but this seems to be a consistent issue. I’ve had to wait at self checkout for 20 minutes because staff is busy with something else because the machine has accused me of theft for like the eighth time and staff has to go and fix it. Sports cards are always wiped out there, but they have a big issue with card theft. My biggest bone to pick with a pretty average and overall good location is the old boomer cart guy who always hassles me in the parking lot. I always put my cart back, he just doesn’t like how I do it I guess. Haven’t seen him since he was in a screaming match with some dude in a pickup truck so who knows. Overall the location is decent. Plenty of parking. Just please always check the...
Read moreThink Walmart without the shabiness: clean floors, helpful staff, good selections, good prices. A smooth and properly paved large parking lot without the cracks and potholes you will find at most retail places. Shopping carts not partially broken and not missing pieces and parts. And a competitive and properly run gas station. It also looks like they may have a decent selection of plants. Have been there only twice so far and thus it merits four stars instead of five which will probably come later. Last and certainly not least, in a place like Brunswick where all the sidewalks have been rolled in by 10:00 p.m., this place is open until midnight 7 days a week! At this point the one thing I did not find (it may be there but I just didn't run into it) is a store directory so you have a decent chance of finding milk and eggs and frozen food versus the shoe section versus the pharmacy versus whatever else they've got in there. Without a store directory a guy just might find himself exploring the place for hours and enjoying it -- and maybe that's just what they want :-) Do expect to make a lot more trips there because it was actually an enjoyable and pleasant trip to go through that store. Some day I will probably figure out where they keep the...
