Subject: Concern Regarding Unacceptable and Overpriced Birthday Experience at Scene75

Dear Scene75 Management,

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding a recent birthday celebration I attended at your facility. What should have been a joyful and memorable experience turned out to be extremely upsetting and uncomfortable due to both the treatment we received and the unreasonable pricing.

First, the cost of the birthday package was far higher than expected given what was provided. No one called to confirm my 7 year old party and I booked 11 Or 12 days In advance. The party manager was unapologetic and host. The party manager offered $10 extra dollars on game cards but told me nothing else could be done. was The value simply did not match the price, and several parts of the package fell short of what was promised. Food was cold and I told party host and she replied “ is It frozen? “ no party plates, no party cups, the party room we were booked for we didn’t have. Liquor in sight at a 7 year old party. Room was unbearably cold to even sit in. Had 30 minutes in the banquet and had to leave. Some games worked most didn’t. This alone would have been enough to leave me dissatisfied, but unfortunately, the situation was made worse by the behavior of certain staff members.

During our visit, we encountered treatment that was not only dismissive but also racially insensitive. Instead of being made to feel welcomed and celebrated, members of our party felt singled out, uncomfortable, and disrespected. This was deeply hurtful and unacceptable in any setting, but especially during what was supposed to be a special occasion for my 7 year old daughter.

I am extremely disappointed that Scene75, a place that promotes itself as family-friendly and inclusive, allowed this type of behavior to occur. Not only did this experience overshadow an important milestone, but it also left us feeling excluded and unwelcome.

I expect an explanation for this treatment, as well as an acknowledgment of the racial bias displayed by your staff. Additionally, I believe compensation is warranted given the overpriced and distressing nature of this event.

I sincerely hope Scene75 takes this matter seriously, addresses the issues raised, and implements changes to ensure no other family has to endure a similar experience.

I took my two kids there for an afternoon of fun. They truly enjoyed mini golf, bowling, go karts and the arcade games.

However we were disappointed in the bounce houses. My younger kiddo had previously been there for a birthday party (literally 8 days ago) and was able to bounce on all the bounce houses and slides. Today he was only able to do “toddler town” as he is under 42 inches. I questioned this as he had recently done everything and even pulled up the “FAQs” portion on scene 75’s web page where it clearly states 36 inches for the inflatables. I pleaded with management to let him bounce based on this information on the website and that he had recently done so. It also was not very busy and I was closely watching him. I’ll admit I did develop an attitude with the manager on however he did as well and refused to call someone else who may be able to remedy the situation, citing an Ohio law, which I still have been unable to access.

Furthermore there were other children with the yellow wrist bands who were going on all the inflatables and slides without repercussion.

I’m fine with following rules-and actually want all safety rules enforced-however the rules need to be enforced by all employees at all times so that I would have known going in that he couldn’t do the big bounce houses instead of having to deal with a very confused and disheartened toddler who couldn’t understand why he couldn’t do thee bounce houses and slides he had done so recently. Also, the website should be corrected and consistent or they should honor ALL information on their website.

Because my kids did have a good time with everything else I’m sure we will be back, but maybe not until both of my kids are over 42 inches to ensure we avoid this disappointment

Update: I heard from one of the managers today who was very kind and apologetic. He got the information corrected on the website and plans to circle back with his staff on inconsistency. Greatly appreciate hearing from him and his plans to remedy...
