We were in the ground-floor suite. Perhaps it is the unwanted step-child of the place. It was comparable to an aging Motel-6. The decor is nothing like the photos. It has been repainted by an amateur in institutional green. The curtains have been removed, but no effort was made to patch the holes or repair the paint that was torn off during the removal of the curtain rods. The floor tiles are loose in their mortar, and they crunch as you walk across them. There is not sound insulation, so you hear EVERYTHING from the 2nd floor suite. One thermostat controls the first and second floors, so the room was hot and stuffy with no ventillation. They have very, very strong air fresheners that set off my wife's alergies. We stayed for 2 nights. There was 1 washcloth and two towels for us, and the room was not freshened between our two days. There is an imitation fireplace in the room. It would have been a nice touch if they had made any effort at all to hide the wires. As it is they just have a giant coil of wire hanging from the bottom and side of the fireplace which completely ruins any decorator effect. It shows the total lack of care by the current managers.
On the positive side, the decore in the photos shows a very Christian themed decor. Personally, I don't like it when a business exploits Christian symbols as a decore. That has been removed. Unfortunately, the fancy B&B feel has been swept away as well. The place has been repainted on a budget and with no imagination. If you like the decor in the photos, that...
Read moreOur recent stay at Abigaile’sl Treehouse was perfect! Adam is a great host- the suite we stayed in was very clean and stocked with nice amenities. He gave us a quick tour and shared with us some of the history behind the house, which was quite interesting. The house is on a large, beautifully landscaped property and it was nice to wake up to the sound of the birds in the many large trees. Located in Bryan, it was convenient to the Texas A and M campus, but away from the congestion that occurs there during campus events. We were in town for graduation, so were very pleased to find such a nice place at a reasonable price. Most of the hotels in the area raise rates when they expect high demand. Not so with this property. Highly recommend Abigaile’s Treehouse to anyone traveling to Bryan-College Station. Convenient to Blinn, TAMU, downtown Bryan, shopping and...
Read moreI came here on my birthday in April 2018. I really wanted a small "get-a-way" for my birthday which fell on a weekday. Just a day away from my regular hectic norm and really get some real quiet time in and RELAX. I came across this Bed and Breakfast randomly and my gut was telling me to check this place out. SO glad I did. I was welcomed immediately and could since such a great pleasant atmosphere as soon as I was there. Such a beautiful place and the owner is such a sweetheart. She was telling me about her previous guest and just hearing her talk about the love she has for her guest was so heart- warming. She truly has a heart for her guest so she makes sure your stay...
