This place is like a horrifying wonderland. The houses have an incredible amount of detail in room design, props, and costumes, and each house feels very unique and scary in their own ways. I visited Frightworld for the second time ever and was truly impressed by how much they've evolved and expanded to become such an impressive establishment. The true driving force of this attraction is the actors, their passion and the relentless effort they put into their work is most impressive of all. You'd think a bunch of teenagers in a dark room screaming at you sounds like the worst way to spend an evening but the crew at FW are constantly trying their hardest to give you the best, scariest experience you could have in an immersive controlled environment, and doing a damn fine job at it. I give it 5 stars because I genuinely enjoyed myself both times I've visited, and plan to visit again before the end of the season, but there are some downsides that I should mention. Firstly, I would not recommend going here if you have sensitivity to light because most of the houses utilize strobe lights, specifically Insanity which has a relatively large fence maze that is almost entirely lit by strobe with short intervals of plain colored light. Also, it's very easy to get lost in that maze, which I thought was fantastic but after a while the strobe lights make you very dizzy and disoriented. Second, some of the customers are rude and volatile, and often ruin the experience for others. Unfortunately nothing can be done to prevent this, but FW's security is on point for situations that get out of hand so be sure to talk to an employee if other customers are causing problems. Overall, I would recommend going here to anyone who isn't faint of heart, except for maybe as a first date. (coughs in the direction of the reviewer who blamed FW for...
Read moreThe greatest haunted Attraction I have ever experienced.
The amount of detail in the atmosphere changing from each house makes you feel like you are moving in and out of different horror movies. They even go as far to have an outdoor section most years as well.
The actors are always amazing but change from year to year, some keep coming back though. The Mad Clown Tiny is a staple actor who keeps the crowds waiting to get in scared and excited.
They try to take advantage of all the senses they can and scare you from all directions! They are fantastic at using the environment to scare you.
The one complaint I have is for a few years they've had a maze filled with smoke and stobe lights house they keep reflavouring but it is mostly frustrating. The other houses always make up for it but if there could be less of a maze and more of a route to that attraction it would speed the line up and prevent crowding.
THANK YOU for including a route around claustrophobia each time. For context with spoilers of what you might experience: the Claustrophobia attraction is basically 2 thick black balloon walls which you must push yourself through to find an exit. Having claustrophobia myself but loving all the other scares I greatly appreciate the option to skip this part. Please continue to do this!
Despite the one maze that keeps coming up They definitely deserve 5 stars for all thier effort and attention to detail. If you have the opportunity you MUST visit...
Read morestaff was wonderful, the ghouls and actors in the houses were absolutely wonderful they did their jobs great, we absolutely love the asylum the Dr was the best knew every in and out scared us many times! Me and my wife and a friend and her boyfriend returned to the scream park after four years of not going,we had a wonderful time , theres only a few things I'd change, it is the amount of people that go in at a time especially in certain houses we missed out on alot of good scares bc ppl stopped and were startled and we couldn't get the good scares especially in nightstalkers we were disappointed because we missed out on multiple scares sadly we couldn't go back through. Next time that happens we're gonna slow down a lil and wait. BUT We decided to go into insanity for the first house, my wife was more panicked because it started to get hard to breathe after a while and we were colliding into other groups and many times it felt like the walls were closing in, if that was the goal then you guys did it a great job haha. For anyone who hasn't ever been its It's like a dark hazy maze with alot of smoke and with creeps crawling around you have to find your way out. We went on opening night it was supposed to open at 6:30 but didn't open til 7:30 and there could have been a few more scares in the clown house.but all in all ways a good...
