We left our family vehicle for warranty work on March 5 at a large Mall of GA dealership. We received communication within a day or two explaining that we would be covered under our warranty for what they determined was an issue with the motor. This warranty was purchased when we bought the car and is the “it covers most everything” high level option. We have reviewed all the fine print and it is very clear motor issues are covered. So after a few more days we called to check on the progress and no one returned our calls after repeated calls and messages. Then finally we get a call from the service manager saying our warranty had expired (left on March 5-warranty expired on March 7) Again, we have texts from someone from the service department on the 6th saying all would be covered since we left it on the 5th. This went on for about a month until the dealership said the warranty company requested all maintenance records which everything had been done through the dealership except for a couple of oil changes, which we also have paper documentation of routine and regular maintenance. We have been getting the run around now for two months from the dealership as well as the warranty company. We get weekly “updates” after we call and finally get call backs. The latest update said the warranty company has to find out “why” the motor went bad. We have been patient, respectful and cooperative but honestly we are fed up. We are having an attorney intervene unless this is resolved very soon! Update on 5/22/24- service department has said Endurance warranty will not determine what went wrong with the motor due to lack of maintenance records! We have all maintenance/repairs but two oil changes and they’re saying this! We have documentation of service performed. Make...
Read moreI went in for a recall and had a complimentary multi-point inspection. If you are getting your vehicle services here, ask for a line item breakdown and do your research.
$189 for changing brake fluid (DOT 3 brake fluid is $6 and takes 15 seconds to change on your own). I also replaced the fluid 1.5 months ago and checked the level after picking it up from the dealership; it was still full and fresh.
Rotors at your noted level should be replaced and not resurfaced, plus replacing all rotors and discs cost a fraction of what you proposed for just resurfacing the front. The drive belt showed zero signs of wear and is a $15 part, easy to install.
$319 for new transmission fluid is comical; there's also no dipstick to check the quality, and it had been replaced recently.
$439 for a “dirty” fuel system and throttle body makes zero sense price-wise or based on my vehicle mileage/usage/service history.
Do your research, be diligent, and ask questions when unsure.
Sidenote: I asked the Kia attendant to break down the charges for me and explain “CAUSE - dirty” to me; they said I didn't need to worry about most of the items, and they “auto populated there based on my mileage.” I have never serviced my vehicle at this dealership before, and they never asked for previous...
Read moreI purchased a new Sorento from this dealer which included a substantial markup in the price which they were not negotiating on. Less than two months into ownership, the vehicle started experiencing transmission problems. The dealership is almost a two hour drive from my home. I dropped the car off and picked it up five days later with no action taken to correct the transmission problem. The two hour drive with two cars each time was miserable. A few weeks later the transmission problems reappeared and it again needed to be looked at. I explained that the drop off was out of the question without a loaner or a rental car. The were unwilling to cooperate with the needs of their customer. I finally reached the service manager who promised to get me an appointment with the dealership closest to me. I am still waiting for that phone call. That has been nearly a month ago now. I will never visit this place again or recommend them to anyone I know. Stay far away from this dealership. I would have been willing to work through the problems with this car had the dealership been a little more accommodating. Unfortunately this bad experience has led me to return to vehicle. I liked the car but the dealership experience was terrible. Do not buy a vehicle...
