Oh boy... I really don't not want to be writing exactly the FULL truth because..honestly I do not want to waste so much time on ignorance.
To say am a 62 yr old Northern New Jersey 100% service connected US MARINE CORPS VETERAN. I have a prostatic for my deaf leaf ear. She is a well trained female black lab.
I'll cut to the core...the women that runs it ran into someone today that knows his rights and will not be bullied.
The owner is full of crap..telling me that the town law requires licensed even a service animal. I just yeses him off..
Bullshit a town law doesn't trump feds ADA LAW. THATS WHY I TOLD HER CALL THE POLICE LOL
No, a town ordinance requiring dog licenses generally cannot supersede the rights of individuals with disabilities to use service animals. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) mandates that service animals are not subject to common restrictions like breed bans or licensing requirements, unless a specific dog poses a genuine threat to safety. Here's a more detailed explanation: ADA Protections: The ADA specifically protects individuals with disabilities who use service animals, requiring public accommodations and facilities to allow these animals in all areas where the public is permitted, according to ADA.gov. No Breed Restrictions or Licensing: The ADA does not require service animals to be certified, registered, or licensed, nor can public entities ban them based on breed, notes ADA.gov. "Direct Threat" Exception: A service animal can be excluded if it poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others, has a history of such behavior, or is not under the control of the handler. This "direct threat" determination must be based on specific, individual behavior, not on generalizations about a breed. No "No Pets" Policies: Public accommodations must modify their policies to accommodate service animals, even if they have "no pets" policies. State and Local Laws: While state and local governments can regulate animals for public health and safety, these regulations cannot discriminate against...
Read moreIf I could have given this place no stars I would have when I lived here it used to be great and customer service was excellent but I was just visiting out of town and needed to get some laundry done and the guy who was wearing a backwards hat was so rude I couldn't believe it. It was 6 pm and an hour before the last load and I asked to use the restroom he was rude about that. I asked if I could get change for a $20 he slammed the mop down and threw the change on the table. The washer I was using had so little water in it that some of my clothes were still dry he got upset and said I "packed" it with a lot of clothes mind you it was a 3 load washer and there were clothes barely enough for 2 loads but it looked like it was a newer washer so I tried it. Big mistake because it didn't wash my clothes and I didn't feel comfortable asking the guy for help. He literally seemed like a ticking time bomb. I wouldn't recommend this laundromat anymore sadly unless maybe someone else is working there possibly. But he was rude and unpleasant not just to me but to the other customers. Tried looking for a number for management to report him but apparently they don't care enough for input because there was no number to be found....
Read moreI will never go back there. The management is rude and way over priced machines. Not friendly and I was very uncomfortable. I have a service dog and the female worker and/or owner jumped up toward me and screamed no dogs allowed. I told her he was a service dog and I have documents and I also said there's no signs regarding that rule. Needless to say she pointed to door and said we had to leave and proceeded to throw us out. Well I had a load in already so all I could do was put my service dog in my car and while I was doing that she ran and hung signs saying absolutely no pets allowed. She doesn't know the law and there so many wrong statements she made about the subject while yelling in front of the customers that were there. She should be fined or something for not respecting the fact that my dog is trained and documented. I wish there was way for her to have to pay for her rudeness being they're so over priced anyway . I would never ever go back and you shouldn't go either!!! Don't support a business that is just all out for themselves and stuck up and rude....
