Four of us went there yesterday for Sunday breakfast. Their website said they were open at 8:00 and we got there at 9:30. A paper sign taped to the door said they would open at 10:00. We were the first ones in at 10:05 when they finally opened. The hostess then asked for my name and number in my party and told us we had to wait until she checked in everyone in the long line outside. Seemed kind of odd when we were at the head of the line and the restaurant was 100% empty. I requested a booth and she directed us to the booth immediately behind the hostess desk and next to the front door where everyone enters and exits. This was the second worst booth in the place. I told her NO and said I wanted a quieter booth and next to the windows. She then told me we had to wait again while they set up the table. Not one table or booth was set up when they opened, amazing. We ordered a round of margaritas and one came in a badly chipped glass. We waited several minutes for our waiter to return and requested a replacement for the margarita. He forgot the order and after waiting another 15 minutes we flagged down a different waiter and he got the margarita right away but served it in a plastic cup. Our original waiter came over with an empty margarita glass and poured the martgarita from the plastic cup into the glass. I also asked him to turn down the very loud mariachi music and he said "yea, I noticed it was quite loud", duh. Why was the music blaring in the first place. It took quite awhile for him to take our order but we finally got our food which was good except for the whole tilapia which was over cooked and dry. While dining we started to hear loud pounding inside the restaurant. We looked around and noticed the waiters were cleaning the dirty plates by constantly banging and scraping them against the insides of two large 50 gallon type garbage cans behind the last booth in the row on the other side. That booth would have been the worst one. Note to management:
First of all I’d like to say, I was happy to see a new authentic Mexican restaurant in town. As soon as I walked in I got blasted over the loud speakers playing extremely loud music. The hostess spoke to me but I had to read her lips because the music was so loud i couldn’t even hear what she was saying to me. Finally, they processed to sit us at a table where there was food left over from who ever was sitting there before. Our waiter came over after that about 10-15 mins later where I dared to order a margarita as our friend did too. To my dismay it was a huge mistake. As we waited for our drinks they came and flopped down some old tortilla chips that tasted like it was left over from other people’s table. As the salsa was very bland and had no flavor, did not taste homemade at all. If i wasn’t hungry I would have not tried it at all. It was horrifying. Then to my wonder we had a few flies join us, who kept circling our table as well as landing in our food. Then when they brought me my margarita I don’t know what the hell it was, it was definitely not what I ordered. It tasted like old drinks that they had at the bar from other people’s glasses then poured it into my glass and served it to me. Out of the whole drink the Tajin was the only thing i enjoyed. Then to my horror, our Fajitas finally arrived after we watched our server circle the restaurant three times with them not knowing it was ours. We waited for our food for about 45 mins now. They showed up ice cold instead of hot. As I went to put some on my plate I dared to smell my meat It smelled like something that your grandma would have trapped under her sink. The smell was so awful I almost vomited. I ended up not eating anything at all and loosing my appetite. I cook every night for my family and we make authentic Mexican food almost 3 times a week. The one time I decided to go out in a while because of Covid it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a long time. I would absolute give this restaurant a -10. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE EVER, and don’t worry the flies were probably imported from Guadalajara. If you are going to go out for Mexican food go to Oriol’s...
Read moreWe were passing thru and went for an evening meal. The building was welcoming and nicely decorated. The waitress initially was nice and friendly. Our party had three couples. 3 of us ordered margaritas mine was the only blended margarita. When it came it tasted like crush ice with a color of ice. There was no margarita mix or tequila in the drink. Three people at the table tasted it and all said the same. I asked the waitress for an in the on the rock’s margarita instead telling her that they must have forgot the mix and tequila. She told me that she made it and she did not forget and that is how the regulars come. She said it was a regular margarita and the other two on the rocks were Cadillac margaritas. I order two soft tacos (flour)ala cart with shredded chicken. What I was served were three tacos two with some kind of beef and one with chicken. I didn’t eat the beef ones the chicken one was an uncooked corn tortilla with a pile of dried out meat and NOTHING else. I asked for cheese Lettuce and tomatoe she seemed irritated and said she would bring it. It was the worst food I have ever had in a mexican restaurant. She brought the margarita on the rocks which was awful. I have never had such an awful margarita. Of the six people at the table 5 said their food was the worst Mexican they had ever had. On top of it all she charged me for three tacos two I did not order. I told her I didn’t order them and she ignored me. We will never go to this restaurant again. The prices, the food quality and the waitress arguing with me about the awful margaritas she made is more than I can tolerate. I am pretty easy to please when it comes to Mexican, a margarita, chips salsa, and a taco or two on a flour tortillas with meat, lettuce, tomatoe and cheese. Apparently they don’t know what a taco is. Our bill was $118...
