Firstly, let me mention I have been shopping goodwill my whole life, I support reusing, recycling, and sustainability. I love goodwill.
But tonight, was quiet a bit alarming.

I was being checked out. I had choosen to buy many small paperbacks books. As I was being checked out, The worker asked Nicki, I’m assuming the manager, how much the books would be. I picked them all out as being normal, small paperbacks for $1.99. But Nicki insisted they were $2.99. She pointed out one book and said “this one is $1.99”. The comment was so rude, I thought she was joking. All the books being roughly the same size. She followed by saying “if it has chapters it’s $2.99”.
I asked why the one she pointed out to be $1.99 had chapters.
She failed to answer and made me feel very uncomfortable. Like she was biased to me in some way.
Needless to say, I told her that didn’t make sense and I felt like I was being hustled. She didn’t care.
I’m really looking for some closure on this. I even asked to see the dimension rules for book prices and she denied me that. I’m at a loss for words snd very hurt that our experience at goodwill went like this today. She entirely lacks customer service or the ability to connect with customers. As a business owner in multiple industries, this type of treatment...
Read moreOther then the greed of profit for used items at this goodwill , the workers have poor service. Amin ringed us up and for one we were trying to buy knives but apparently one of the knives was apart of a set and told us he couldn’t sell it to us and didnt tell us where we can get the other ones. Secondly, he ended up charging us twice for the same toy so we immediately got back in line 2 people in front of us. Once we were next Amin’s register was open so we go to him and told him he scanned it twice and he acted like he didn’t remember us. We gave him the receipt and he proceeded to say “are you sure?” When we stated he charged us twice, while checking into our cart from the counter. Which made it even more frustrating because it felt gaslighting.. Then asked if we paid with card or cash. We said card and he said he can only do store credit and said if he remembers us he will give us a discount which is not guaranteed because apparently he couldn’t even remember us a min ago and we did not recieve a card for the “discount” he was talking about. He did not apologize for his mistake. It’s upsetting when workers make empty promises when there was no accountability. On top of it charging us multiple times over the same items and not being able to get our money back is actually...
Read moreI am new to the area having moved from a few hours away and I have a number of things to donate in the process of my move I brought one single bag to the store today and apparently the donations closed before the store closes and online it just says the store is open till eight there was a very rude blonde girl outside who informed me that she would not be taking my single bag of Donations. I explained to her that I was new to the area and just had the one bag though apparently they are unable to make exceptions Even though I drove half an hour to get here. The Goodwill in the area that I come from had much better customer service I would not recommend this Goodwill and I will not donate here again as clearly they do not want or need my business. A simple kindness of making an exception and taking the one bag that I drove so far to drop off could have made this a five star review. Shame on you Goodwill. That is not the way that you show “good will” to others Especially those who are trying to support you. We moved out of a six bedroom house to a much smaller place and brought way too much with us all of our things are in good condition we have furniture and other things in storage Which we will now...
