I have ordered cakes from here multiple times and the past 2 times the cakes have both been super dry. The most recent cake & how 2 different staff members had attitudes at the time of ordering, at pick up, & how dry the cake was have made me never want to order another cake from heb again. First the lady when I went to order the cake was very rude and spoke to me with an attitude when I was asking simple questions & trying to explain to her what I wanted on the cake & how I wanted it to look. I wanted a UT Austin logo put onto the cake but I noticed it was no longer in the book so she wasn’t sure if they would be able to do it or not. I asked her when I should call back to ask if they would be able to do it or not and she snapped back quick before I could even finish talking with “well atleast give them a couple of days” with such a nasty tone that continued throughout our whole conversation. I got over it & just thought she must be having a bad day because I’ve never had an experience with ANY employee of burleson heb like that. Now whenever my boyfriend went to pick up the cake he received an attitude from another woman over him not having the copy of the order form. That was the 6th cake that I have ordered from them & not once have I EVER been asked for the order form sheet to pick up an order or been told I needed it to pickup an order. I just say my name & they hand it over, which is exactly what he did. He went up & said he was there to pick up an order that should be under Priscilla, Priscilla V- & then the lady cut him off saying they don’t ask for last names. She then went on to ask about if he had the paper & he said no that he was just there to pick it up (I sent him to pick it up as I was very busy at the time) to which she then got an attitude and proceeded to ask “well what time where you supposed to pick it up at ” & “do you know what you’re picking up, do you know what the cake looks like” as if someone is just going around stealing other people’s cake orders 🤦🏻♀️. If there is a policy on needing the paper to pick up the order it should be made known at the time of placing the order and be enforced to everyone. Now on the dryness of the cake it was just so bad, half was chocolate & half was vanilla & it just tasted so old & dry hardly anybody ate it so it was a waste of 50$ sadly. Hopefully these things can be fixed & I can become a returning...
Read moreI shop at this H-E-B location almost everyday and today I had a terrible experience. 3/14/24 at approximately 7:05-7:13 pm I was in self check out trying to check out my items and I had a not so good encounter with the employee working shelf check out. The first issue was the catfish I received from the seafood department was not scanning due to the barcode issue and I needed assistance from the employee. When I ask him for assist the first thing he told me to do was to move my basket so someone else could come through , even though it was the other customers basket that was blocking the entrance, me attempting to move my basket only caused the area to be more crowed . After I moved the basket he then proceeded to scan the item I already told him would not scan, so then he proceeds to tell me “ if I items don’t scan to type them in” usually when I have an issue with an item not scanning the employee will just type it in For me without any issues. After that incident I noticed I grabbed the wrong item and I told the employee I had to go back to an aisle and I was coming back . Upon returning I see that an item was scanned which happened to be a 24 pack of big red which was at the bottom of my basket. I immediately called the employee over to remove the item because I had already scanned the big red , in fact it was The first item I scanned while checking out. I find that very inappropriate and rude . The employee assumed I had plans on stealing the item and I’m extremely offended .. If I didn’t notice the item was added to my transaction prior to checking out, I would’ve paid for the 24 pack of big red twice. I’ve never had an employee take it upon themselves to scam items while I was away . If the employee had concerns about the item being scanned he could’ve just asked if I had scanned it yet , or even checked the screen but instead he decides to scam items while I’m away. Sadly , it seems The employee assumed I was going to steal the items due to me being African American . It’s a shame that I had this experience at H-E-B because I come here almost everyday , if not multiple times a day. I know for certain this is not what the company is about because I have multiple family members who work in management for the H-E-B / Central Market company for 19+ years . I’m Very disappointed in this experience and I will definitely reconsider shopping at H-E-B...
Read moreStore was extremely clean shelves well stocked and the back aisles crammed packed full top with pallets of food to be stocked on shelves. Come on what’s another hour to wait to put this crap oug? We’re already trying to maneuver around every Tom, Dick, and Jack idiot through the store acting like it’s their first time in a grocery store at an hour till closing. Well now they are supper confused trying to tear open pallet wraps to grab that honey butter spread or the lemon paprika seasoning with no salt, that I am now cursing down every hour as I hear one hour till closing and we’re all making a mad dash to checkout before you lock the damn grocery doors and we lazy asses have to walk Alllllllll the wayyyyyyyy to our cars from the dry goods side. Listen another request could ya hire a few gator drivers that will gator me to my car in the back 40 if this is going to be a constant thing? (Side note: I know you’ve done this forever, that’s how I knew to make the mad dash to checkout forgetting 6 things and loosing my list in the process thst I now don’t know what I even forgot to get cause right there in the list lost & found is another one of my list that I finally remembered to grab- thanks a lot Obama!) But becaue you were well and I means well stocked up on my cookie, you know what I really stopped in here for cause let’s face it you’re more expensive than the dollar tree and not that convenient for me headed east on the freeway to get to, but because I was able to grab 3 sometime that day made cookies you’re getting full set of yellow stars here in this review! Which is fitting for you HEB being the grocery store Texans love and we are sometimes sang in a song I think about “yellow rose of Texas 🎵🎵🎶🎶🎼”
Also the app is telling me to share a picture or video. Since it didn’t specify of what here’s one of one of my puppies....
