An affordable destination for pantry staples if you require fresh stock, and a good place to fill your freezer with what I would consider scratch-and-dent/overstock goods. If you don't mind that, you'll be surprised to know you can get an entire overflowing cart of groceries here for about $200ish, average. One time I totaled up the value of what $200 of basics from Sharp Shopper would have cost from Giant Eagle and Walmart, and was shocked to see it was about $550. So, if you have transportation and/or a limited budget/kids or a big family- or you're just struggling to get by- consider taking the trip out to Butler and saving money, even if you're spending a little more on gas and time investment. There are also really cool and unique things here like Amish potato salad/pasta salad seasoning, the produce is a little sus but you can often find things like dragon fruit, aloe vera and other exotic ingredients. The frozen section is incredible and vast, there is a bunch of foods for special dietary needs and it's a good place to stock up on bulk seasonings for your kitchen at an affordable price as well. The staff is super friendly and you should plan about 90 minutes to shop, and don't forget to bring cold bags because the deli meat/cheese section is the best you'll find in terms of quality,...
Read moreThese are my favorite kind of stores to shop at because a big portion of the inventory is ever changing so it's a surprise what you'll find every time you go in. I love how they usually always have the big bottles of some kind of Starbucks coffee every time I go in and it's significantly reduced, a couple times I've gone in to find it for $.99 and it's over $6 elsewhere! I'm happy they carry the Martin's brand chips and bread from back home, Giant Eagle is the only other store in Butler that carries it and at Sharp Shopper the chips are usually only $3.99 a bag. They carry a lot of frozen items in bulk, the hash browns in the big clear plastic bulk size bags are our go to, super cheap and are comparable to McDonald's! This store reminds me of shopping at BB's out in south central PA before I moved out here only here at Sharp Shopper there is less of a risk of grabbing an expired item. The frozen treat aisle is the best, you will find name brand ice creams, cones and bars also significantly reduced in price. The store is clean and the workers all seem nice, it appears to be fully staffed and no self checkouts which seems to be a...
Read moreDo NOT patronize this business. I spent approximately $100.00 a week at this old expired food place like a fool. Last month during their, so called. Customer Appreciation week. I put my name, my daughter Jamie's name, and my son in laws name. They pulled my daughter and she called and spoke to a Mary who told her I could pick up her prize on her behalf. When I got there I was met by a very rude employee name Belinda who would not give me her prize and then falsely accused me of swearing at her, in which I didn't. I told her to call the police and she wouldn't. If I didn't have to be some where, I would have. I spoke to store manager Nick who was just as bad as Belinda and I turned them into the BBB. I will speak to corporate on Monday, who I'm sure, will rule in my, the appreciated customers side. Unfortunately it's a Sat and corporate is closed. At this point I want an apology from the Butler store as they're going against " the customer is ALWAYS right" policy. I could really care less for the $20 speaker we won. Please mention this review when in there shopping to...
