This was at one time my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area not only was the food phenomenal and the best but also the food portions and the prices were very reasonable! Since the inflation has hit us all increasing your prices is very understandable in order to keep up with the cost and profit making but this particular restaurant has taken full advantage of the inflation cost in our country and have decided to increase their prices to a ridiculous unreasonable cost. Within two-and-a-half months I ordered the same item and paid $2 or $3 more for that item each and every time I went there. I was shocked I even asked if I was being charged for the right item. Then if you're paying with a credit card they have put that cost all on the customer you're going to pay like the guy said in an earlier review three and a half percent. What restaurant business is going to make you pay for the way that you pay on top of all of the price increases?? In my own opinion this family took advantage of this inflation excuse with probably more profits than they had ever had coming in prior to this inflation hit on all of us. The portion changes on the menu are ridiculous...you now get about two-thirds of what you got before but of course it will also install menu items cost you double! I have decided not to give them my business anymore because in my opinion they abused the inflation excuse to the limit and continue to find more ways to dump any and all cost on you ..the customer! Greed is the only word I can describe these owners of this restaurant today. I hope that the business owners get to read my review to see what at least one customer's opinion of their current business practices although I personally know many others who cannot help to feel the exact same way and maybe just maybe they will take an honest look at the changes they have made that have done nothing but hurt the customers and change back the once best restaurant around in many of these peoples opinions including myself to the way it used to be.......which was good portions with...

I was in Butler, PA for business and decided to try Rey Azteca Mexican Restaurant based on a recommendation from my hotel. Nestled in a strip mall, I initially wondered about the quality of the food, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The atmosphere exudes authenticity with its Mexican decor, setting the stage for a delightful dining experience. As soon as I sat down, they promptly brought complimentary chips and salsa, a welcoming touch.
Starting with a cup of Mexican-style chicken noodle soup, I was impressed by the abundance of shredded chicken, green onions, and cilantro. It was flavorful and comforting, setting the tone for the rest of the meal.
Opting for the Vegetarian Fajitas, I was greeted with a sizzling platter overloaded with veggies, accompanied by rice, refried beans, guacamole, lettuce, and sour cream. The portion was so generous that I couldn't finish it all!
Service was swift and attentive throughout the meal, adding to the overall positive experience.
In conclusion, Rey Azteca exceeded my expectations with its delicious food, authentic atmosphere, and attentive service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant, and I look forward to dining here again during my next...
Read moreWe ate at Rey Azteca on 6-6-25. It used to be my favorite mexican food around. Not anymore. New menu. Higher prices. Food is different. I always get the chicken flautas. They were bland with hardly any cheese on them. The beans and rice were bland and cold. We didn't get any chips and salsa at all. I had to go find someone and ask for it. They gave us a tiny bit of salsa. Not even enough to last with the chips. It was also tasteless. When we asked for more, she said we'd have to buy it! A table of at least 12 came in and were seated for awhile, looked at the menu and got up and left. There was hardly anyone in there on a friday night. We ate there about 6 months ago and it was good then. Something has changed. I didn't see one person working there that I knew. I think it must have been sold but kept the name. We were very disappointed and will not go back. I've been going there since they opened in the little building beside Bill's beer barn when it was THE BEST. If you go, take your own salsa, chips and spices. Actually, you might want to find a new...
