Vowell’s Marketplace — Local services in Byram

Normally I enjoy going to Vowels for fast courteous service... Today was different.. I'm posting this simply for our Elderly and others who have not jumped on the computer train...I go in buy a few things and noticed that 18 packs of eggs were free with a purchase of ten dollars...I grab one go through the cashier and then I remember that I needed mayonnaise and couple of things I had forgotten after checking my list..I go ahead and check out so I don't hold up the line...I leave my cart of groceries and come back to a long line...I tell the cashier I'm going to service after getting my forgotten items...It rings over ten ..I told the cashier the whole thing along with already getting the special but after spending another 20 can I get another free pack of 18 eggs..No problem she said..So when I return ( after jogging all the way through the store) she said I need to see your app... I said app ? The sign says with a purchase of ten dollars or more..it doesn't mention the app....They argued with me until I said keep them...I came home and immediately uninstalled my Vowels app...Now back to the Elderly...They are paying the same outrageous..hiked up amount for groceries as everyone else...I don't believe a gift for your patrons should depend on whether or not they're Internet savvy...Or at the very least put it on the sign in warning to them that without it Vowels doesn't appreciate...

Like a lot of Supermarkets in the Mississippi area, they have both the usual Grocery’s and a “Hot Food” area (also called a Commissary or Cantina).

So thus, this place also 👍has a VERY GOOD Hot Food 🍝place (that services Delicious 🤤😋chicken [Deep fried & baked], fried pork chops (sometimes), and MANY sides to choose from) at Lunch time (I believe about 10:30 am to 2 pm) - Weekdays Only 👏

They also have a Breakfast 🍳 time (I believe from 8 am to 10am?) - but it’s only SO-SO.

The price💰 (for either) is also SUPER affordable 🎉🎊 (at around $10-$12 bucks), unless you add on extras 👍

(with that, there IS-A-LINE😰, so come Early 🕚).

Shopping there for other Market things is [again] pretty “standard” (as they have all the “usual” stuff that Krogers has).

But I usually go shopping just across the street (at Walmart), for most of my stuff (cheaper/prices) - and then here at Vowell’s for hard-to-find things.

But (again) do try the Fried Chicken 🥰 here (it is WAY…..better than Kroger’s...

The food in the deli has gotten nasty, nothing has a taste to it anymore!! I've tried it several times this week thinking my taste buds was off but no baked chicken dry with no seasoning at all...to nasty rice spoiled one day, fried chicken dry tasting like bacon grease... and the attitudes of the workers in the deli is awful not all of them but the ones serving the food has the worst attitude...they really should bring back the old workers who knew how to cook and...
