I had a late lunch here, (around 4pm) and overall I was disappointed in the quality of the food. Some of the food was cold and not warm at all, like the green beans, chicken wings, chicken on the stick (very rough and dry), and potatoes. The fried rice was very crunchy so I waited until a new batch came out. It looked amazing and was fresh and hot but it was giving steamed energy and tasted like nothing. Nothing was fried about that rice. I decided I’d just eat lo mein instead. Well it tasted like soy sauce noodles. But the texture was perfect. Many restaurants over cook them. The coconut cream shrimp was very tasty but was over cooked. Now the fried shrimp was good and still crispy. I got seconds of those. The egg rolls and spring rolls both looked appealing and texture was still a bit crispy but they tasted weird. It didn’t taste like any spring or egg roll I’ve ever had. I also had a sugar donut and it was very hard. I tried the black pepper chicken, wontons, and catfish as well. They just were not good. Wontons were hard, black pepper chicken was mushy, the first piece of fish I had was decent but the second one was pinkish for some reason so I didn’t eat it. The sweet and sour chicken was one item that was good and not dry or over cooked. Now, the next part is completely my fault. I spotted some chili oil and thought it would be a great idea to get a little and mix it with my sweet and sour sauce. OMG! Instant regret. That chili oil had to be marinating for years. It was so spicy. That tingle lasted for a while haha. So if you like spice just know, it DOESN’T take much at all. The buffet options were a bit limited but this is a smaller restaurant. One thing I did like was the fruit. It was fresh and juicy. I had pineapples and cantaloupe but there were more opinions like oranges and melon. Outside of the food, my service was amazing. The host was prompt and very friendly. Taking care and checking on everyone. She made sure we had plenty of napkins, provided utensils, and made sure I had consistent refills. She did her thing. The restaurant was also clean and provided a peaceful environment. I just wish the food was a bit better. I’m happy for the experience but less likely to recommend this...
Read moreHad been here several times and thought it was fairly good. However that's not the issue. The issue is the staff attitude. They hover at your table when you are getting your money out to pay--once I had to stop her from picking up the cash from the table while I was still figuring how I was going to do a tip. This time she stood behind our booth while my husband had his wallet out, just watching and waiting. Last straw was when a member of our party asked about a to-go cup and was told no, they don't do that. So when all the carryout orders got them, he asked about it again and she started yelling "you aleady asked about this and I told you NO. Now you're asking again." Whoa! So he mentioned about the carryout orders and she started yelling again about how "they paid for that" and on and on. In my opinion, that is different from "we don't do that." Perhaps she should have said in the beginning that to-go cups cost extra. But no. Instead, she and the other woman who works there were still carrying on about it as we paid the bill and left. Absolutely ridiculous. Why would you want to act like that in front of your other customers? Will...
Read moreThis is my first time ordering at this Chinese. The clerk was very rude she was constantly on the phone while taking my order she didn't pay attention to what I was asking her she told me it was mandatory to take their nasty gravy with my order. I ask for condiments and she told me she was going to charge me two extra dollars for two packs of duck sauce. After I had just given her$18 she charged me $5 for a small sweet tea and told me that 4 packs of duck sauce was extra when I had ordered enough to serve 4. She then proceeded to give me one napkin and told me that there's a $2 charge for anything more than one napkin. So I gave her the gravy back and I started to ask for a refund at that time she finally gave me condiments the restaurant has to be greedy extremely greedy in order to charge for packs of condiments which should come with the meal initially. I've been to restaurants that serve Chinese all over the nation. I've always been happy with my service. This is the first time this has ever happened in my life. Do not eat here they do not appreciate the...
