Da Shak Grill — Restaurant in Byram

I went for the first time mainly due to some negative reviews in the MS Foodie group on fb. I wanted to give the spot a chance despite that.

The guy was nice and the wait was short (mainly because I was the only person there). The fish was good, but the philly was a BIG disappointment. There was a burnt taste throughout the entire thing. Had to give it to k dog only after a few bites. [The only way I can describe it is like when the bottom of your food is burning in the pot, but you throw away the burnt part and keep the rest - but the burnt smell/flavor semi stays] I couldn't get over that taste. I might give them a second chance, but that burnt flavor is still stuck with me mentally.

I really hope the owner reads these reviews and adjust. Although the fish was good, the meal barely filled the plate. There was more space than food. Outback and Half Shell give...

I'm only giving 3 stars because of the service lately. Which is not completely their fault. I've just had bad luck and I'm aggravated. They've got good food, and I haven't eaten here in a long time. 3 weeks ago I tried to order them to go from door dash. Upon my dashers arrival (after my order had been placed for at least 30 mins) they were told they no longer receive door dash orders. Then last week, I tried to visit them Monday. They were closed til Wednesday due to being out of town. This evening I tried to swing by around 730. I'm told they were closed early due to a meeting. Never had an issue with this place . Im always at work bragging on how great the food and service is up until now . This portion of pasta is not worth $20 . They have a “no refund” sign posted at the front counter so it was no need for me to even complain plus he’d just told my lunch date he didn’t have enough pasta to do 2 servings . I am really upset and disappointed cause we always go there on our lunch break.
