We absolutely love The Cañon Movie Theater! Yes, it’s smaller than the theaters in Pueblo or Colorado Springs, but honestly, that’s what makes it so much better. The screen and audio quality are excellent, and I really appreciate the mix of new releases and older classics they show. Getting to see movies like Halloween and A Nightmare on Elm Street on the big screen was such a unique experience we never would’ve had anywhere else.
The value here is incredible—snack bundles with popcorn, candy, and a drink for $20! At the theaters in Pueblo, just a large popcorn can cost close to that. The staff is always super friendly, the owners are wonderful, and the whole atmosphere feels very welcoming and family-friendly.
Even though we live in Pueblo, we find ourselves choosing The Cañon over Cinemark or AMC in Colorado Springs. It’s also where we brought our daughter (at just one year old) for her very first theater experience. The seats don’t recline, but they’re comfortable, and with the theater’s smaller size, every seat in the house is a great seat.
This isn’t just a theater—it’s an experience. I highly recommend it to both locals and out-of-towners. Keep up the amazing work, and I hope to see this place thrive for many...

The trailers that were shown (Logan, Kong Skull Island, Fate and Furious) were not appropriate for young kids and required almost the entire theater to cover Littles eyes. When I asked the manager to contact me regarding the previews I received no communication for three days. After 4 messages I was finally contacted and told that this theater shows previews to promote the movies they are showing regardless of content. There was no remorse or consideration given to my concerns.
I want to support this home town theater but this business philosophy is not compatible with with viewing kids movies. The owners are more concerned with advertising their movies than protecting the minds of our young people. Until I see a public response to correct this issue I will be taking my entertainment needs elsewhere and I encourage the rest of our community to...
Read moreWe bought tickets for beauty and the beast to take our kids for my niece's birthday. First, I bought the tickets online and it did not accept my payment and give me tickets so I looked at the bank account and they charged me twice. I went in to get it resolved and it took me going twice to get a refund because they "didn't know how to do refunds." Then, the previews they showed before beauty and the beast were Logan (showing a girl slashing throats, blood spraying everywhere and language), Kong (major violence, skulls, blood and language), Power Rangers ( I didn't have an issue with this), and Fast and Furious (sexual scenes and language). We addressed the issue with the previews and were told that they are "appropriate for all ages" and they were not going to do anything about it. I am someone who likes to support small business but I will never go back to...
