Dear American Eagle, I have shopped at your store for the past 10 years. You've lost my business. I cannot continue to support a company that allows their managers to disrespect and publicly embarrass their customers. Last year, my mother went into your store in Calhoun, GA. She knows associates there personally since they go to school with my brother. She asked a manager, Valerie, if a certain associate was there, and the manager treated her with such disrespect. The manager told her that associate could not help her very rudely. My mom simply asked her not to be rude. The manager continued to be rude and threw the clothes my mom was trying to buy on the ground and told her to get out of the store and never come back. My mom left a review on the Calhoun store's Facebook. It's now over a year later, my mom was in the store Saturday. She was speaking to an associate she knows personally in Spanish. The same manager was there and came over to say "I know you're talking about me in Spanish because you know I can't understand Spanish." (Racist comment). My mom explained to her she wasn't talking about her and that she didn't want to argue and just wanted to pay for her items. My mom went to pay. The manager pulls up the Facebook review and yells "Isn't this you? You came to talk bad about me to my associates!" My mom said "Yes, that's me. But that was over a year ago, let it go." The manager throws my mom's items again, and tells her to get out of the store. She called security and had my mom in tears. This same thing happened last year with this same manager, AND SHE STILL WORKS THERE. This is completely unacceptable. How can you allow your managers to deny service and publicly embarrass your customers? We've called and emailed corporate, and nothing has been done. The manager is having her employees leave good reviews on the Facebook page to improve her rating.

Read moreHas the worst customer service I have ever seen. My daughter spent 30 minutes shopping for a pair of jeans and a top. As we were looking, an employee pointed out the sale rack to us for jeans for $19.99 my daughter went to the rack and picked out a pair off of there and went and tried them on. We both liked them and we found a top off of the rack that she pointed out as well. We went to check out and the top rang up $11.99 ( the sales price ) but the jeans rang up $45.99 and not the sales price that was posted on the rack. I told the young lady at the check out that that was the wronge price. So she radioed back to the lady that was in that area and asked her about the price. We were told that there wasn't any more jeans like that on the rack and they were not on sale. Then the lady that pointed out the sales rack came to the front and told us again that they were not on sale (even tho she was the one that told us that all of the jeans on that rack were on sale). Then she said that she was not going to sale them to us at the sale price. I said that was fine but I asked her for her name and she said her name was Kelsey and she was the manger. I said I was going to submit a comment to the Corp. Office about our experience and she then turned up her nose and said ( in a sarcastic tone )" thats fine by me" as she just walked off leaving my wife, daughter, the other employee and myself standing at the register. There were other customers standing behind us and their jaws dropped as she stormed off. Needless to say we handed our other items back to the young lady working the register and left without purchasing anything. How can anyone so rude become a manger and if that is the way they treat there customers we will never purchase another item from...
Read moreThis is the first time I have been in an AE store however I have shopped online with them for about 7 years. I like their selection of women's jeans. The store was nicely organized / merchandized. All the jeans were located with a picture advertisement in the display and another sign with pictures showed all of the women's jeans available in stores or online only. This last sign helped me the most because the style I wanted is only sold online.
I was returning two items I had purchased online & the return process went quite smoothly. Normally I would return products by mail but I was returning items to another store in The Outlet Mall so I chose to return to both stores in one trip.
I chose a 4star rating because it was inconvenient that the style I wanted & was returning is only an online product. Additionally, the jeans I bought in my normal size but I could not even begin to zip up the fly! I would have preferred to try on & purchase the next size up but instead must ordering online again & risk having those not fit well either.
Easy access in Outlet Mall, clean store, well organized, nice employees & smooth...
