My family ate here a few moments ago. I asked by waitress for a Taco Salad with no meat (I’m vegetarian) and specified I wanted only sautéed bell peppers, onions and tomatoes with lettuce, sour cream and guac on top.
When I received my food, it had spinach as well as mushrooms inside. I ate the shell and was unable to eat the rest because I am highly allergic to mushrooms.
It would not have been a big deal had the waitress acted differently. I advised another waiter of the issue and asked for our check as she had not been by her table for a good 10+ minutes.
When she brought the check, I told her my food was incorrect and that I was allergic to mushrooms, and I had not asked for that in my food. She did not apologize, nor did she take accountability or any responsibility for the incorrect order.
I went to the run a Store to pay my check and I didn’t want or expect my food to be free since I ate around the shell but I asked the person bringing me out if there had been an adjustment due to the incorrect food. The waitress was standing at the side, and she stated to me “ Your order was not incorrect. The fajita taco salad comes with mushroom and spinach and you did not ask to take it off.”
I advised her that I did not order a fajita taco salad because I don’t eat meat. I asked for a taco salad with no meat and to add sautéed bell pepper, onion, and tomato. She continued to basically say the fault it was mine instead of taking accountability.
The owner was actually the person ringing me out, and he said rather condescendingly “how much was your food? I wasn’t aware it was incorrect either.”
I told him it wasn’t about the money that it was about the waitresses attitude. I work in the customer service industry and have even managed restaurants myself in the past, and I would have never allowed an employee to act like that to a customer, especially when I was being completely nice about it when I first addressed it to her.
It is very sad because we recently discovered this restaurant and I’ve ate here probably 12 times in the last two months since discovering it. We will not be...
Read moreIt is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have tried this summer 2023.
I fell victim to my love of triple threat, Fajitas. Chicken, steak, and shrimp. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the caramelization on the onions and peppers just enhanced the favour even more. The 3 proteins were plentiful and cooked to perfection.
The side plate had beautiful light fluffy rice with rich thick red beans done right. Pico de gallo was fresh , but only to be upstaged by the freshly made Gaucamole the star if the plate. A little bit of lettuce with a scoop of sour cream finished this plate.
Chips and salsa were good but basic. No complaints as Chips seemed fresh and salsa was tasty and not too runny.
I stayed to finish everything single bite on both the skillet and the side plate.
Also, I was able to negotiate with server to skip the tortillas in favour of 1 grilled jalapeno. Lol! I don't use them so no use wasting them on me. This way I get an extra treat for free so to speak.
I will definitely be trying to get back to this place at some future point to explore more of their extensive menu. I highly recommend you all try this place, if ever in the area of...
Read moreI have eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants in my life. In terms of flavor, this was the worst one I've ever eaten at. The service was quick and friendly, but the food tasted like something Instant or out of a can. The salsa was bland and the chips tasted like a warmed up bag of Tortilla chips. I had the Special Dinner: 1 taco, beef enchilada, chili releno, chicken tamale, chalupa salad, beans, and rice. Pretty much the standards for a Mexican resturant. Beans and rice were dry. Taco was "so-so", the tamale not bad, but the enchilada and sauce were terrible. They use some kind of red enchilada sauce. I swear it tasted very close to the Old El Paso stuff in a can. Most places do that delicious, brown, Mole sauce. Not here. The chili releno was the worst thing on my plate. Soggy, heavily-breaded outside, and bland, bland, bland poblano pepper and pasty cheese. Again, service was great. The sweet tea was awesome, but I didn't go for the tea. I really wanted to like this place, but it just wasn't happening. I will be surprised if they last 2018, due to both the food and their location. Maybe they were having...
