LongHorn Steakhouse — Restaurant in Calhoun

Today I thought this would be a good place to take Shirley for our 40th anniversary as she Loves the 'Flo's Filet'

We have been coming to this location since 2013, today was a horrible experience. Arrived today Saturday@ 1:30 pm, parking lot was not full, walked inside and I counted no less than 10 tables that have not been cleaned, was told wait would be 15 minutes, so we went to the bar there was no one there, after standing around for several minutes bartender said it would be 3 more minutes for service, well we left after 10 and decided to return after shopping at HD.

Still a wait for a table, again no one was at the bar so we sat and sat, finally we get a drink and food service.

My steak jumped off my plate onto the floor while cutting it; because we had no service at the bar I took my dirty steak to the back and asked for another one Rare. Shirley shared her steak while waiting for mine, WELL the next thing I know is I'm getting my check; the steak never came so out we went; I wasn't expecting a Free steak, I was more than Happy to pay for another steak, but we had no service, my drink had been dry for 12 minutes. ( again not one table behind us had been cleaned, the same tables that had all the uneaten bread from our first trip were still uncleaned as were the other 8 tables and folks were sitting inside and standing outside waiting)

I did mention it was our anniversary and an employee took several photos of us. This is totally unacceptable on a $81 tab, and a sad sad blow to...

I love longhorn. Kind of disappointed that this place is new and they are already starting to slack though. For the life of me I don't understand why three and four people are allowed to hang out at the hostess area in restaurants as of late, along with a mngr while you're sitting watching them. No one comes to your table to even take a drink order in the midst of their playing around. We were getting ready to leave after sitting their Eleven minutes and as we stood up, here came the waitress. For some reason though it seems everyone thinks they are owed business instead of working to keep your business. I'm at a loss. I enjoy eating out, but am beginning to agree with the mister. I can have a much more enjoyable, flavorful meal at home without the childish games or group of employees standing around gossiping instead of doing their jobs. Food was good but when it starts off on a bad note it's hard to get passed that. The bread was also hard. Another thing that I wander why they overcook it and send it out hard & cold. It's bread... Love the new crab & shrimp dip. They've offered it for awhile now, hope they don't get rid of it. Guess if we start eating at home I'll have to get the recipe for that to go with my Red Lobbies biscuits lol. Pull it together Longhorn. Your place is the only place the mister will go out to eat at, anymore. Don't ruin...

I wanted to let everyone know about our experience here in Calhoun. I first ordered a sweet tea with lemon. There was no lemon and when I asked she never brought one. I then ordered a Tonion appetizer. The waitress never brought side plates or the extra dipping sauce that I asked for either. I ordered loaded potato soup and when she brought the soup there was no toppings? She actually took the soup right back and said she had forgotten the toppings and apologized. I was trying to be patient but by this point I’m getting a little “Hangry” I then ordered our food. The fire corn should have came with toppings because when I asked to have it taken off my bill she mentioned that she had forgotten to put the toppings on it due to the fact that the sitting area we were in was not her section? I have never written a bad review and this is my first one. I’m the most relaxed go with the flow type of guy but it’s disheartening that after all that she tells me “ I had the appetizer removed because I forgot everything” I appreciate the gesture but this experience has costed them any future business on my end. I’d actually decline any events hosted here from this one experience. They have to train her up. Not a good look Longhorn 🙁👎🏼 I still tipped her...
