I have been here countless numbers of times since I was a child when The Village was thriving. Never have I ever received such poor customer service as what I received on today at 12:45pm. The woman who waited on me has to be THE WORST that I’ve ever encountered. She was on a phone call (which is unprofessional), and the call was on speaker. The person to which she was talking was using profane language, so I asked her to take the phone off speaker. She became so RUDE! It was ridiculous! This woman should not work with the public. I called the place after I left to ask for her name. She got on the phone and told me YOU DON’T NEED TO KNOW MY NAME. She proceeded to use so much foul language. It was so unnecessary. It was quite obvious that she has no class, self-respect or dignity. I won’t even repeat everything that she said, because it was downright disgusting. I told her to respect her job. Her response was I BEEN WORKING HERE A LONG TIME. With THAT attitude she will never amount to anything more than what she is. On top of it, my polish wasn’t as good as it used to be. I just visited this place on 1/29/25. The older, tall black lady was taking down her braids and scratching her head when I walked up. She put on gloves, but I politely asked her to use a spoon to dip my condiments. She became upset and I tried to calmly speak to her, and tell her that I didn't want her to feel mad about it. I just wanted to feel in my own mind that there were some sanitary practices at the place that serves food. She couldn't let it go, so I put my money up and walked away. The lady became so belligerent and angry. She was screaming profanities and honestly sounded like she was mentally unstable. I would not recommend this place from a sanitary perspective, but definitely not a service perspective. To the owner, if there are cameras, please review...

Just moved to gary from Chicago recently, was craving a hot-dog chicago style, I Google it, & this place came up.. Went there, and they didn't disappoint, after knocking on their little window on the outside of the stand, the young lady directed me 2 go the entrance of the mall too come in & make my order. I got there close too their closing time. Quick service, just remember you have go inside the mall entrance & then too the right too recieve service... Don't be knocking on their window outside in the parking lot like I was.🙂. I got 2 hot dogs & 2 polish......
