The most uncomfortable experience I’ve ever had in a store…..I had barely walked in for less than 30 seconds when these two older ladies at the front started yelling and asking me if I have Amazon, confused I answered “yes” then one of the ladies said “okay well your Amazon returns are done here” I tell her I’m not even here for that I just came to look at Sephora, then she goes “oh I noticed your bags that’s why I asked” Strange to assume my two full bags that were clearly from Target are returns for YOUR store?? Anyways I walked into Sephora, the associates greeted me, I made my way to the Huda Beauty section. I’m barely there again for 30 seconds before this lady starts hawking me asking if I need help looking for something. Clearly I don’t as I made my way to the exact section I needed to be at. I was just sampling one of the powders when AGAIN this Sephora employee came around the corner acting surprised about one of the huda beauty blushes being back in stock, which just so happened to be the same area of the section to where I just picked up and PUT DOWN the sample setting powder. I was so uncomfortable by the whole interaction from the front cashiers to this sephora employee, that I didn’t even end up buying anything. I work way too hard to be profiled coming into a store just because of some damn bags with things that I actually PAID FOR. I get it protect your product but were you hired as a makeup advisor or security? This location will never get a dime out of me and if you’re a minority with some type of self-respect I wouldn’t spend your hard earned money with people who are going to follow you and make you uncomfortable.

Read moreAwful experience… I often go to this Kohls because it is nearby my home and easy to access except every time I go into the Sephora this women ( don’t know her name will found out soon.) worker at Sephora has braids and is African American always follows me around the store. Now I understand if she wants to offer help but it has got it to a point where it is uncomfortable as a Hispanic women I feel uncomfortable seeing she only follows me around and not other women such as caucasian . Once I was at side of the Sephora by Sol de Janeiro section and she snatched a lipstick that someone had left there and said “ You CANT. Take things out “ when I wasn’t even looking at the left makeup product? She has made me uncomfortable several times as once asking me “ are you even going to buy anything?” I felt so disgusted by this behavior I even left the Sephora section . She also doesnt other Hispanic women alone , I once saw a Hispanic teen girl just scroll around the Sephora not touching anything just browsing and told her “ Are you going to buy anything? Where are your parents? They HAVE to be with you " I believe a teenage girl has the right to shop by herself , every teenage girl loves to shop and to say to a teenage girl is horrible. The poor girl proceeds to look ashamed and uncomfortable and left the store I overheard talk to her mother about how she felt followed and uncomfortable. Like Cmon that is a teenage girl where is your shame? I know i wrote alot but i am truly disappointed in this Kohls that Sephora worker has made me like a prisoner , being watched and followee . 0/10 DONT. Come...
Read moreGetting rid of the jewelry section to make room for Sephora isn't exciting . They can have both. Perhaps there wasn't a great return. But I can attest that every time I visited the jewelry section myself and several other customers always walked circles around each other picking out cute pieces. They were one of the last stores to have a decent everyday costume jewelry selection, and one of the reasons I visited. We all know Kohl's prices are absolutely audacious. High end department store prices in a damn shopping center 🙄. It may be a "coupon" store, but the use window and brand limitations of the Kohl's cash is too fancy for a store like Kohl's.
I'm not sure how they plan on making any money from the Sephora considering every time I visit customers are just standing around waiting for assistance or to just be acknowledged, and the Kohl's employees cannot help with Sephora. Last time I wanted something specific from Sephora I was told to look for an employee dressed in all black. I'm not running around the store trying to chase down a single employee! And I wasn't the only one. I'll take my money to the mall or something, thanks.
This most recent visit I had a friend with me that spendsss money in Sephora, but doesn't like Kohl's as a store. I was complaining to her about them losing the jewelry section to make room for Sephora, and shared what I observed and my experiences at the Sephora in this store, and she said she JUST experienced the same thing. Disappointed. But I did find what I needed for a trip, so I guess there's that? Anyway, my overall rating is...
