🚨Warning🚨 Please be careful shopping at the Home Depot at 2300 Broadbirch Drive, Silver Spring, Maryland. I was a target for human trafficking lastnight and by the grace of God I got out and made it home safely! Ladies please be hyper vigilant and aware of your surroundings when running errands. Person 1: Short Hispanic/Mexican Guy 5’2-5’3, average build. Looked to be of Mayan Descent with a soggy dad hat turned to the side. Person 2: Eritrean/Ethiopian guy, looked to be about 5’6-5’7, low haircut, average build. Late 30s-40s, maybe. Person 3: (Dont know if he was apart of it but he creeped me out as well.) Caucasian, About 6ft, white-grey hair, very slim, wide shoulders, slight hunch back. He was an older man about 50s-60s #Fyp #HomeDepot #dmv #silverspring #maryland #humantrafficking #Bevigilant #warning #pleasebecareful #singlewomen #pleaseshare #warning

Rental department is awful. Rented a tool but it was totally empty of gas. The rental guy told me I could buy a gas can in the store. Upon returning a different rental guy has a huge line of customers and he's outside doing something and then comes inside and futzes on the computer for a minute not acknowledging the huge line. Also, they make you drag all the equipment in and through the front of the store rather than use the door right there that takes you from the parking lot into the rental place. When I came to drop off I let the rental employee guy in and he has the audacity to say "oh yeah, thank you, this is much faster than going around" ....yeah...it is... and you make all of us drag our tools through the busy store.... so dysfunctional Update 29 July 2025 - Still bad. Show up not long after open on a Monday and there are carts PILED all over the skipped parking lot. If you don't know this place, the parking lot is crazy sloped. So loose carts smash cars all the time. This homedepot is slacking.

Home Depot’s Shady Pricing Tactics – A Total Scam! I am beyond frustrated with Home Depot’s deceptive pricing practices. We visited the store last week and saw a refrigerator at its regular price (marked with the white sticker), which included installation. We returned three days later, only to find that the same refrigerator was now labeled as “clearance”—yet the price was HIGHER, and installation was no longer included! How is this even legal? Clearance means a discount, not a price increase with fewer benefits! This is a blatant attempt to trick customers into thinking they’re getting a deal when they’re actually being charged more for less. Home Depot and corporate America thrive on manipulating pricing and scamming hard-working people out of their money. This isn’t just bad business—it’s dishonest and unethical. Consumers deserve better! Shame on you, Home Depot!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! I don’t even know why I go to this store at all. Went there yesterday to purchase a dealt miter saw and stand that they have on sale on their own website ($499 plus a dewalt stand combo). Couldn’t get anyone to help out and then had to get a manager as the associate stated that sale doesn’t start till Black Friday but they literally have it on their website. Finally after an hour and half, met with Donovan who is the store manager and when they couldn’t figure out what to do, he tells me that it’s online only. I have purchased enough stuff from Home Depot to know when it is online only it will have a label. I asked Donovan to show me on the listing where it states that it’s online only and he couldn’t and said “he knows” that’s it online only. Then I showed him the same listing at Lowe’s and that I could drive to Laurel and pick it up and he stated that they’re not going to pricematch for whatever reason and asked me to goto Lowe’s. I am really not sure how these guys are in retail and customer service to begin with. While all this is going on, some supervisor from the self check out chimed in, she was super condescending and told me that sale is for when you use a Home Depot credit card (super confused, one supervisor says online then the other says credit card only). After I asked her to show me where it states that, she got upset and started yelling saying that she is trying to help me out. I never had one good experience at this store, this has to be the worst Home Depot, these people don’t even care about customer service from the store manager all the way down. No one acknowledges you, and when you ask for help all they give is an attitude. I said heck with it and drove to Lowe’s, I was in and out with the same item in less than 10 minutes. Walked up to an associate at Lowe’s and asked him where this item was, he helped me grab a flatbed cart, walked me over to the isle and then to the cashier all in less then 10 minutes. I will never goto any Home Depot store anymore and highly recommend anyone to drive to Lowe’s as they honor their advertised prices and actually know a little something about...

I have never been in a store where so many employees are so unhelpful, useless and a waste of space. Ordered a fridge and an install. Simple right? No, the intake person sets up the order and we ask for an ice maker to come with the fridge. He then tells us how much it will cost to install the ice maker and remove the old fridge. We agree, all is good. Took a week for the delivery to arrive, which is kind of a long wait but ok, we can deal. Then comes the installers, don't speak a word of English. They remove the old fridge, busted the doorways up by doing so. Brings the new fridge in and then tries to tell us that there is no ice maker. Oh that's nice, now we can't put the old fridge back, because they busted it all apart and can't communicate so we let them go. Now we have open water lines and make phone calls to HD. Useless person on the phone tells us to come into the store. Fine, we go to the store and the appliance worker tells us that we shouldn't have taken the fridge or signed off on it. No apology, no help with what we can do to cap off the water line, just screw you, deal with it. Turns out the first person didn't put an ice maker in the order, just to install one. Oh ok, I guess people just have ice makers lying around.... The appliance worker spoke really bad English and was extremely condescending, just sitting there, looking at us while we ask for help. Useless individual. We ask for the boss, but her ass was too damn lazy to come and see us, just told the guy to give us a discount on the ice maker that we should buy now and have delivered next week. Oh but conveniently for them, their computers didn't work so we can't do the ice maker order today. USELESSSSSS. Fine, we go to plumbing to get a cap for the water line. Again, no one useful to help us find the part. What is the point of having a staff and paying them for just breathing in the store? Aren't anyone proud of their work anymore? Won't shop there again, they can keep the stupid ice maker. And then these large stores wonder why people shop online and they can't keep...

UPDATE: Haven't heard back from them after they replied asking to send them more info like they cared on YELP. Completely wasted our time. We waited for door over 2 months and there wasn't a single professional individual that cared enough to call us back with some sort of an apology or update. We have decided to cancel our order with them so we are back at sq 1 and def will never be back. Gladly returning back to Lowe's! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!

PREVIOUS REVIEW: My husband and I are looking to purchase a new front door. We were so close to purchasing a door with Lowe's but we were not pleased with the customer service we received. We felt unsure about the purchase so we waited and decided to go to Home Depot & let me just say that everything happens for a reason because we had the best experience/customer service we have EVER received. Roger is a professional. We sat there with him for about an hour and some change. He was extremely patient with us, bounced back ideas and suggestions, called different vendors to get exact sizing, designs etc, gave us so many options, I mean we were so pleased with his work ethic. During our time with him, there was a customer asking for assistance in another department and another employee said he would get on it but I guess that employee didn't get to it because the customer came back and was walking up to Roger to ask again and immediately before customer could ask he got on the phone and paged someone for assistance without losing focus on us and building our double front door. He was amazing! Home Depot is winning with him. He was so friendly, social, pleasant to work with. He was even picking up phones in the midst of all of this, as patient as he had been, kept a positive attitude and was so nice! He deserves 10 stars! We will be purchasing all our home needs at Home Depot from now on. We are done with Lowe's! Thank YOU Roger! YOU gave us a great impression...
