Today was my first & last time trying this nail salon. I needed a last minute pedicure before my trip. I just needed a basic pedicure and I even bought my own gel polish. The older lady who did my pedicure was really rough and kept cutting my skin. She even cut the middle of my big toe and tried to say it was like they when I came in her 2 weeks ago it wasn’t that way and I look at my feet daily. Very nasty attitude and couldn’t admit to her faults. If she wasn’t so rough, this would’ve never happen. Literally go to any nail salon but this. Some people really just want the money and don’t care about the customer service they provide even when they work in the service industry. I am very disappointed because the reviews raved about this place but maybe the regulars get a different experience. Also, there was no soap in my foot soak which should be a given in any pedicure service . She was very timid after debating with me about my own nails. Please advocate for yourself especially if you are a person of color. Try Lynn nails or graces nail salon if you live in the area. Trust me, a way better experience! Also, the didn’t soak off my gel, she buffed it off which damages your nails. I know this post was long but if I would’ve seen this I would’ve went some where else! Try this place at your own risk . Also, the paint job is horrendous!!! Look at my pinky toe...
Read moreSave your money . I got their at 3:20 didn’t leave until 6pm and all I by it was a simple pedicure. I picked out the color a (neon) color she asked me if I liked it I said yes. After this I continue to be on my. Phone and when I look up she’s done the first two coats and is about to finish however with neon colors you have to do a white base underneath other the color won’t show and it will look sheer and ugly that’s how my toes looked. I asked her why didn’t she do the white base and she told me I should have told her to do it and it was my fault.
My response was I didn’t think I had to tell you how to properly paint neon colors this place has been around for a long time. She proceeds to pause and acts like she doesn’t wanna redo it even though it’s clearly not done well. Then she says I’ll just redo the two big toes and leave the rest how they are.
Because I did not want to go back and forth with her I said okay. In the end my ties are ugly I paid $60. The pedicure was under 20 minutes. And I have uneven nails and chipped paint. All because she was too lazy to redo it. I’ve been here 3 times and never had an issue. I will not be back.
Anyone who values a decent paint job should not go here. They are not interested in doing a good job just getting you out quickly to...
Read morePart of this is my fault - as most of us do, I didn't express how short I needed my nails. It's been years since I had them done and wasn't sure with how much typing I do per day what length I needed. I called them the same night and asked if I could come in the next morning to have them fixed. Three of the nails were very crooked, the polish was relatively uneven, and the nail tech didn't use the smaller round thingy to get the nail glue off the back of my nails, etc. The next day, when she filed my nails down, she hit the file on two other nails and put scratches in the paint and she chipped the top coat off of a quarter of another nail. I asked if she could touch up the paint around just the edges since she just sanded them down but said I'd have to pay because it's not her fault. Fair enough that I didn't advocate for myself enough at the time, but if you're going to use a nail file to shorten the person's nails and damage some of them, you should fix that part. I wouldn't want someone walking out of my salon upset about their nails. Now they're all very uneven and awkwardly shaped. They're short now, which is great, but I have to wait for these bad nails to grow out to get them fixed. Not a great experience and...
