IHOP — Restaurant in Maryland

DO NOT sit in Lola's section. Which may be hard because it looked like she was allowed to wait on half the restaurant. Lola was our server and for some reason, she did not want to help us today. She had an attitude every time we asked for something. Literally. HOWEVER, we did see her being friendly and smiling at other tables. We asked for refills on our drinks and apparently that was asking too much. We mentioned to the server that we had pancake coins we wanted to use and asked how to use it. She either didn't know how or didn't care to explain because all she said was you can only get one item. Our food came, brought out by other staff and we were missing 3 items. Lola eventually walked by and mumbled enjoy or something and we started to say oh we're missing a kids meal, etc, and she literally cut us off and with a huge attitude, she said "if stuff is missing then they'll bring it out." Well, we did get two items that were missing, but we never got the bacon that was supposed to come with one of our meals, and we didn't want to deal with her attitude again so we just let it go. I don't think I've ever been spoken to like that in a restaurant, ever. On top of we had 7 people in a booth, and our table was overflowing, and not once did Lola remove dishes for us. It was just a disaster of a meal. Worst part is, we were out for one our birthdays and we didn't enjoy anything, we were all just really annoyed. Lola also didn't check on us for the next 20+ mins so we basically finished our meal and she finally came around, we said can we just have two boxes and the check. She never even came by for the check cause we were going to mention the rewards but she didn't come back so we just paid using the app on the receipt. We were fed up at that point so we just wanted to pay. The food is never great but it was the birthday persons choice, but of course, this meal was kind of ruined by the attitude and service. We still tipped her, prob more than anyone else would've tipped her, but we generally are VERY generous tippers, especially since we have kids, but this attitude problem was too much. We spent over $100 and were trying to have a pleasant birthday meal and that just...

I LOVE this IHOP for so many reasons. At one point, when my Father was in his 80's and 90's, he ate at this IHOP every.single.day! Literally! He was a lovely, charming, vibrant, happy, funny, flirty, engaging man - and handsome to boot. For several years after I began caring for him 24/7, I accompanied him..... every.single.day. I saw the respect and kindness and warmth each and every person at this IHop extended to my beloved Father, and also to me - even years after he was gone. It was from the manager, Robert, to the servers, to the kitchen, to the bussing staff. I cannot express how special that was for not just my Father but for me as his daughter and the person who looked after him. It touched my heart and I will never forget it. This was a very special place in our lives. We even celebrated his 90th birthday there with a family party! I have already described the incredible, caring service we always received here (the most important for me, certainly at that time in our lives) - on to the food. It's an IHOP, don't get me wrong. The food was wonderful for the money and for the fact you could go at 8AM for breakfast, 1PM for lunch, 7PM for dinner, and then 3AM just because. You can hardly put a price on that. You can't beat the consistently good omelets, pancakes or other breakfast items. AND, they are flexible with substitutions. The burgers can't be beat either. As good as, or better than the $30 burgers you get at a 4 star place downrown in DC. The food is plain, good, chain restaurant food that you really can't beat (sorry, I seem to like this word...) when you want a wide selection of decent food, with wonderfully fabulous service; delicious, bottomless coffee; clean bathrooms; and fair prices anytime in the day or night. Thank you, Silver Spring/Tech Road area IHOP. I am back in DC and don't stop in much anymore. But you will always have a special place in my heart. My Father...

Hello , I am Sean hardman. This Is One of My Favorite Locations . This Is IHOP . I have been here on several Occasions . I been there for breakfast several times and once for dinner . I had Chocolate Chip Pancakes , I had the Farmer's Choice style Breakfast & All You Can Eat pancakes Once . This Place has very Good Hosts , It has great management and It has Great servers there too . But sometimes at Breakfast they have Long Lines at the door sometimes . This place is always hopping with business . It has a huge parking area In the Tech Shopping Center Off of Colesville Road And Tech Road . As You Enter through two double doors You see the Host Counter Register in front of you with seats on Both sides . This Place has a Huge Lobby area. It has clean bathroom facilities . It has a somewhat Concealed Kitchen where they do all the magic of Serving Your Favorite Foods you like. The drinks they have are Juices of your liking , Sodas and more . At The Tables they have all selections of syrups of Your Liking too . The Menu is full of great stuff You all like too . They have Take Out and Curb Side Pick ups too . This Place has the greatest service I never forgot very attentive and always willing to help above and beyond the calls Of duty . I tired signing Up there on occasions for Jobs But never heard anything back and I want the honor or being a Host there someday . I Like working in a friendly Team Environment .
