I had creepy experience during my solo trip at this location between February 18-21. On Saturday morning (between 6:15-6:30am), I was craving water, so I went downstairs to purchase water, orange juice, and cranberry juice. Unfortunately the Front Desk's POS system was down, so he needed my room number to charge these items to it. Unbeknownst to me, a creepy hotel guest was listening in on this conversation at the elevator. First he held the elevator open for me to join him, which I did not because I don't ride down or up with men at certain times of the day to avoid any unwanted interactions. When I arrived to my floor, this creepy guest was there waiting, I proceeded to enter the Ice Maker room to put some distance between us, but he used his hotel key to follow behind me. I then bolted for the door and began walking down the hallway where he followed me. I think he realized that I was on to his "stalking game", so he walked past me to the stairs. I then entered my room and proceeded to drink my water when I heard a knock at my door, and yelled "What is it?", but there was no response. I start to drink again, but then another knock. This time I go to my keyhole and shout "What is it?". It was the creepy guest--again. He weakly, nervously replied, "It's nothing", then walks off. After that I report the incident to the Front Desk and request a room change immediately, which they do around 9:30AM. Later that day, the hotel manager calls me to say she is reporting the incident to police, which I appreciate even though the police state that they cannot arrest someone for being creepy, but the hotel can remove him if they know who he is. Now this is where I find fault with Hilton Hotels. The hotel staff didn't know who this person was despite seeing him on camera, despite him using his hotel card to follow me, despite coming to room door. So now I'm wondering why doesn't this Hilton Hotel have any safety procedures / training in place to instruct their staff when it is or is not appropriate to ask for a hotel room number?
Well I later discovered that the entire incident could have been avoided had I known that I could use Hilton Hotel's digital keys, which allows guests to open their rooms, and contains their room numbers. Why had no one mentioned this at check in? They remembered to instruct guests to wear their face masks several times, but no one remembered to tell a solo traveler that I could avoid sharing my hotel room altogether through the Hilton Hotel app?
Instead the hotel staff tried to "fix the issue" with a free drink and/or complimentary breakfast, I accepted the drink. However, neither resolved my anxiety. The key issue for me is safety. This is why I am sharing my story to warn other solo female travelers, and help Hilton Hotels better train their hotel staff about the dangers lurking in their hotels. Hopefully someone at the management level will read this and take it as a...
Read moreOur stay here was wonderful! Our reservation at another Hilton had fallen through and left us with nowhere to stay so I called this location from the airport needing an immediate check in so my husband and I could freshen up before a wedding we were heading to attend that afternoon. I was tired from being in a plane at 4am and frantic over our travel plans, but Gloria expertly handled our situation with the ease I expect from Hilton. Her level of service was awesome! She had a double queen room ready and immediately for me over to reservations to book it. We arrived less than an hour later and our room was ready for us! She was so friendly and accommodating which brought my stress level way down! I had neglected to mention that my husband has asthma and we need a non smoking room so when our room smelled like smoke, I had to ask to change rooms. This wasn't a problem either. They quickly moved us to another room. I appreciate how easy it was to book & stay here in a jam and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff really made our trip smooth and enjoyable. The hotel is very clean and has those lovely comfortable Hilton pillows and beds. They're also in a great location next to a plaza with several choices for food! They were minutes from the highway so it only took us 15 mins to get to the wedding which gave us time to get ready. The room has an iron and a nice clean bathroom with complimentary Neutrogena bath products. I would say the hotel was quiet at night when we arrived back at 10:30 pm. Parking was available in the parking lot. In the morning, we had time to pack up and shower (luxury rainfall showerhead) before we had an easy check out and enjoyed a quick breakfast at IHOP across the street. We appreciate the fantastic service from Gloria when we were in a pinch and all her hard work to make our stay wonderful! We will definitely...
Read moreI Had the absolute worse experience in this so called hotel. I was in town on Business my Co-worker and a joining room, my Main door was locked. I walked in my coworker room and the door slammed shut locking me out my room. We walked down stair's to ask the front desk to let me in. His pass key would not open my door , He said I would have to wait till Maintenance came in at 8am. I again Explained to Him all my personal bongs were in the room. Keys, cloths everything I was even bare footed. I demanded to speak With his manger , after a 30 plus min going back and forth he said he called the manager and he confirmed there. Was nothing that could be done untill 8 am and that the Manger would not speak to me on the phone .this incident started around 1130 to 1:45am, the out me in a spare. At 6:15 I was back at the front desk once again explaining I had a meeting and needed to get in my room, he was extremely dismissive and said no one could help me toll 8am. I demanded to speak with his manager he said the manger was not in yet. I was yelling at this point . Another man came out the neck and said I’m the manager how can I help you . As if he had no clue what was going . He also kept saying I had to wait to 8 there was nothing to do . I go back to my spare room 10 min later the hotel Phone rang the grind desk ask me to come out in the jail way to speak with the manager . I see him at my original room where he proceeded to Take a key and open the door with no problem . I of course asked why the Hellas s this not done last night. He said it’s a special key . Never the less the reason for this long review is to bring light to how horrible I was treated. By this Rude Dismissive Manager NASTY UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGER I DEAKY WIth ON 4/6...
