Our old Frigidaire gas oven wasn't getting up to temperature nor holding the temperature. There was also an unsettling smell of gas when the oven was turned on. Additionally, one of the burners wasn't lighting or holding a proper flame. After calling several other appliance repair companies who advertised "same day" appointments who scheduled me into next week, I called Pacific Appliance Solutions and they scheduled a technician for the following afternoon. Alexander provided me a 30 minute "on my way" heads-up text, which I appreciated. Alexander listened to my explanation of the issues and got right into the diagnostic process, then provided me the culprit: a faulty gas valve. He showed me an online example of the necessary replacement part and cost, and explained the cost plus repair, which is close to the cost of getting a new appliance. Alexander did not pressure me into making a decision on the spot, he was engaging and professional, and listened while my partner and I did some out loud consideration of paying for the replacement + labor or buying a new appliance. Again, he didn't try to persuade us to go with the repair + labor. He remained neutral and even offered some advice around purchasing a new appliance. Thursday afternoon when I went into the freezer, I noticed my bananas were mush. My refrigerator wasn’t even three years old. I am new to the area and really didn’t know who to contact. I am in East Vancouver, so I picked PAS Because they were in Camas, only 2 miles from me. I think I called them around 3:30 in the afternoon and Sergei was here by 5pm. He checked everything… It wasn’t the compressor, Turned out that it might’ve been my fault for not keeping the front grill at the base of the refrigerator brushed clean of dust. The dust had blocked air from getting to the coils. By the end of his visit on Thursday evening, the refrigerator was running and starting to cool down. He said he would return the next morning to check the refrigerator. The fridge was cold and the freezer was freezing things when I got up the next morning. I did notice that the water dispenser was not working. Sergei was here at nine And check the refrigerator over and fix the water dispenser. He was professional and efficient. … Also very pleasant to work with. The price was very reasonable and he did not charge for the time spent to re-hook the water dispenser.

Would not recommend. Tech came out and made a quick diagnosis. Barely looked at the washer but his solution of a new washer plate seemed reasonable and would save us from having to buy a new washer. We agreed to price and scheduled a repair. Tech came back out executed said repair. When he ran the machine it sounded just as awful as it had when we called them. When I questioned him about it he seemed perplexed but went back to investigate further. Finally lifting up the washer and looking into its mechanics. He then came back saying if I didn't like the sound the washer was making it’s because the gear box had gone bad and it will cost me $500 on top of the price we had already been quoted. And, when I asked why he didn’t tell me this the day before he got flustered and had no answer. Obviously the new washer plate was not going to fix the problem.
