My name is Christopher Wulle. I spoke to Hank on the phone the first time to set up an appointment to have someone help me with my problem. Hank is the man! He's kind, likeable, and very knowledgeable. He was able to see the problem I was having on his end, and even tried to solve it with restarting my modem on his end; it didn't work, but I appreciated the effort so much. So thank you Hank! You rock, man.
But the man I want to thank the most, from the bottom of my heart, is Aaron. He was over here three times. The first time he replaced all the outdoor equipment (wires, splitter, grounder, etc) he even replaced the modem just in case! The problem remained, so I called again. Aaron was nice enough to come back that very same day and try something else. He helped move the modem and my router into my bedroom to see if that was the issue, and it was not.
I called and asked if Aaron could come back next week. I requested that, if it was alright, if he could come in the afternoon. I was told he'd be here around 12:30pm to 4:00pm but instead he showed at 8:45am, and this is the only reason I knocked a star off of my review score. But I don't think that's Aaron's fault!
To be honest I feel a little guilty. This is probably something I should've had a long time ago, I feel like all of this could've been avoided. Aaron came back the third time to install one of their modems with the router built right in. He got it up and running, and I spent the next weekend making sure my problem is gone. And it is! It's fixed now, the entire weekend was spent with no ping spikes, no lag, no frozen webpages or random disconnections.

   Read moreI can't speak for the service itself. It may be great. I called as a potential customer with new residence in MD. Local provider I found out was Bay Country Communications which I had never heard off. I sent an email and had to call about 6 times in order to reach someone. When I finally reached someone, they answered all my questions which was great, but I cannot justify paying for this service for internet based on the fact they only offer 2 plans and charge $170 for 100 Mbps. If you only looking for internet, Starlink would be a better option which is typically faster for only $120 a month and available just about anywhere in the USA.
For perspective, the other local ISP in MD, Choptank Fiber charges $135.95 for 1 Gbps (or 1000 Mbps) which is 10x faster and Xfinity is even cheaper. Bay Country prices are absurd in 2024 and it's never been easier to get something like Starlink or even an unlimited 4G / 5G connection in a remote area. There are a lot more comparable options today and these prices don't reflect that nor the competition that is available. This is not affordable internet in today's world, and it's amazing they charge this much for subpar speeds while the state of MD gives them huge contracts to expand fiber. Not only is their prices and service about 15 years out of date, so is their website design compared to every other major ISP.

   Read moreThese people are awesome! We moved to a rural part of Hurlock a few months ago. New to the area, we had no idea how to get internet service. I checked on all of the top searches by my address and nothing came up for bcc fiber so we went with Viasat sattelite for internet which was horrible. We are in a new neighborhood and I happened to see a bcc fiber truck up the street so I called. My neighbors had the service but it hadn't run down the street yet. When I inquired Donna was so nice and told me they would send someone out to take a look. Less than 2 weeks out I recieved a call that they were running it to us. They came out and got us all set on a temporary wire! Jackie and his helper were amazing, friendly and got us all set up! They are awesome! It's sad that even today when I google bay country communications, I got verizon first and had to scroll down to find them.
