Russ hosted the museum, there were 3 of us. Russ is an extremely informed and educated host. He makes the artifacts in the museum take on life with interesting facts and history. Makes you wish that you were actually there, or very glad that you weren't depending on the related outcome. How refreshing to find a guide who actually loves what he is doing. NOT in the brick building pictured here.

New museum just opened in Oct. 2025 (hours TBD). The center includes the Ruark Boatworks. The Ruark Boatworks is active with volunteers building and repairing boats. They see historic boats come and go in this historic location. They also have an educational program with school children. It's an...
