Extremely Unprofessional and Deceptive Service - Avoid at All Costs
I recently had a terrible experience at the GTI Cambridge Theatre on Sunday, July 29th, which has convinced me never to return. My family and I ordered tickets for the 2:40 pm show, only to find out we were given bad seats and separated from each other. When I called to request a refund or to transfer our seats to the 4:50 pm showing so we could all be together, the manager instructed me to come in person for the refund but to go ahead and order the 4:50 pm seats first.
Upon arriving for the 4:50 pm show, I asked for the refund again, but the manager said she would handle it after the movie since they were busy. She then mistakenly printed the wrong tickets for the 2:40 pm C row instead of our correct F row for the 4:50 pm showing. After finally getting the correct tickets, I thanked her and said I would return after the movie for the refund.
However, after the movie, the manager had left, and I was met with a young, immature staff member who refused to give me the refund. He claimed the manager told him not to process it due to her mistake of not being able to resell the C row tickets. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also downright dishonest. The manager’s refusal to rectify her own error and the staff's aggressive, sour attitude left me feeling conned out of $23.
For anyone considering visiting the GTI Cambridge Theatre, I highly advise against it. The service is appalling, and their handling of mistakes is nothing short of deceitful. Instead, I will be taking my business to the East Bethel Theater, where the staff is professional, organized, and committed to customer satisfaction. GTI Cambridge Theatre needs to learn a lot from them if they hope to retain any...

We purchased our tickets online and all was good and well until we got to the theater where then, and only then, was it ever disclosed this is a cash only theater. Meaning our options were not getting concessions, take out money at an ATM with a fee, or order off the Door Dash Storefront which also has fees due to being third party. (Edit due to owner's response: I don't know why they lied about the cash policy at NB unless they changed it recently before closure. There was no indication of it being a cash only theater at all during my online check out process)
We ordered through the Door Dash Storefront and it took them 15 minutes to make our order as they were instead focused on helping people ordering in cash, the only reason it took 15 minutes and not longer was because we talked to them to check on it which caused us to miss the first few minutes of the movie.
The theater itself has poor sound quality and is barely elevated so that if someone tall sat in front of you, you'd be S.O.L.
Ultimately I don't know why they didn't close this theater down instead of the North Branch one as that one was...

The seating is becoming rather dated and worn out. But for the price you pay to see a movie you get what you pay for. A few of the screen rooms could use a new interior as they're beginning to fall apart and smell musty and the seating isn't in any better shape. The two screens on the right hand side of the theater are in adequate shape but the 3 on the left need help sooner rather than later.
I don't want it to come off as an insult but GTI Theaters are bargain theaters. You don't get a huge selection of incredibly over priced snacks or full pizzas to bring back to heated and cooled reclining chairs. And there isn't any reserve seating. But you rarely ever have to worry about a show being sold out due to the rural location of the theater and you're not going to pay ludicrous admission and snack fees.
Seeing Avengers Endgame day after release cost 5 bucks and a large pop and two snacks took me back 10 dollars. At an AMC theater that would easily be ...
