While it may occasionally not smell the best (a lot of people in a room will do that no matter how hard you try to prevent it) it is normally very high quality and I genuinely love visiting the gamers den both to play games and to buy things I need for said games, they even have very cheap drinks compared to most places (even if their almost always out of Dr pepper bc I buy all of their stock since I'm there so often) their DND stock is quite extensive, with them having almost every DND book, and while I don't play warhammer I do see that there is a lot of stuff for that game, they also have an extensive dice collection, as well as a moderate selection of single magic cards and many packs and boosters, they also occasionally have Pokemon but those sell out fast of course due to extremely high demand, they also limit how many pokemon packs and boosters can be bought per person which is nice. they also let you play board games there for free, you can play them there for free or rent/buy them. they also host DND campaigns, and have larping swords...
Read moreThe Gamer's Den is one of the most welcoming gaming and hobby stores I've ever been to.
If you're a novice, you'll find plenty of friendly helpful people that are more than willing to answer your questions, recommend new things, or just chat about whatever hobby you might be interested in. You couldn't ask for a more welcoming group of people.
If you're more experienced, you'll enjoy the great selection of items, the nicely set-up gaming areas, and the regularly-held competitions for a number of different games (if there's a game you enjoy that isn't scheduled, you can probably find someone to play it with anyways). The competition is always friendly, but that doesn't mean winning is always easy.
Overall, it's a great place to shop, hang out, and play some good games. If you're new, you'll be welcomed. If you're an old pro, you'll find good competition....
Read moreI first started going to The Gamerâs Den back in 2006. Itâs also where I spent a lot of my Friday nights learning and developing core Magic (MTG) skills.
Itâs always been a fun and welcoming place! Some of my favorite memories as a kid were here.
The new or (2nd) mall location looks great and really shows how far the shop has come. Amazing work.
Some just donât understand how challenging or difficult it can be keeping a game shop open in general. So many people these days tend to complain about price points in generalâŚ.
Their business model is the perfect example of a successful LGS. How do you think this business is not only doing better than ever, but has been open over 20+ years?
Good for them and what theyâve builtâitâs unreal. If you knew what these folks have been through to keep this place running all these years, youâd appreciate it even...
