Some may not appreciate this please read the whole thing before you judge this as messed up. I was extremely impressed today when I saw employees walk away from customers today across the store. I watched as even the commissioned employees politely excuse themselves. No one that I saw was rude all were picture of politeness while quickly excuseing themselves from their customers. There was a CODE ADAM. I was so excited as a father of 4 to watch as every employee took up search patterns or guarded doors. The complete change in behavior from the top to the bottom in the entire staff was a delight. Please do not get me wrong a Code Adam is never a good thing but the level of coordination and swiftness in which the staff found the child tells me several things. They had to have trained for a Code Adam and that comes from the top. That from top to bottom they care more about a lost child then revenue personal or company. I have a background as a volunteer in emergency management and I'll be the first to tell you the level of this stores staff today in a critical moment was well beyond that of the normal. I shop on the norm here around once every 2 months. That will be increasing with the knowledge that if I'm with the kids I'll have peace of mind that is rare with a parent. That if my kid walks off(we do everything we can but have one that is also autistic and very good at slipping away and thinks it's fun to play hid and seek in stores) this store has an amazing staff that will drop everything for my little guy and swiftly spring to action. Please take this as the high praise it is ment to be. I know some might say there was a Code Adam screw that store. I just want to say there is nothing a store can do to prevent this all they can do is provide great training to their employees and this store has obviously done their job in...
Read moreThey have great clothes, sometimes they have AWESOME discounts, especially for some brand name stuff, but sometimes things are outrageously priced. &they literally only have like, 1 sales desk open when they have about 20 of em all threw out the store, &the one lady who rung us up, was the only one working mind u, had a whole line ahead of us then behind us when it was our turn, she asked if I wanted to try out for a boscovs card, I told her no I already have &been denied, twice, she asked how long ago I told her about a year or two, she says ma'am u should try out for boscovs card (she's the India Lady, the real slow moving one even with a line of 12 ppl...) I tell her no again bcuz I know I will b denied &is gna effect my credit more.. She said ma'am u should apply for card ur bill is already at 200$ if u get it u get 15% off. I again tell her BUT LADY, I WILL NOT GET IT, I am not messing up my credit more just to NOT get the 15% off either.. She then says ma'am I will give u 15% off even if u dnt get it, at that point I was like f#@+ it! I said fine go ahead with it. She was so quick to do it, it was crazy. &then, she had to RE RING UP ALL MY STUFF jus for that 15% discount, the whole line got mad it was ridiculous. &guess what.... I got DENIED for the card, DUH. This lady only wanted the commission or whatever she gets for getting ppl to apply, she went that far to do it.... I was jus baffled. I mean I won't lie the 15% discount helped it lowered the bill to under 200$ but jeez.. Read moresooo i can’t even believe the customer service that my girlfriend received at this location last night!! she was standing in the checkout like and when it was her turn the woman said oh and i’m going to need to see the tag for the shirt your wearing(work shirt mind you)... she was wearing a badge to also work issued. So when she kindly says oh this is my work shirt she calls a manager?! like whaaaaaaat?! then the manager excuses her and says your free to go....no i’m sorry for causing an ordeal for you no i’m sorry for the mix up.....NOTHING! so a mutual friend this girl and i both know call in to the store after this ordeal and talked to the store manager.....she tells him everything that had happened... and he says well can you put her on the phone so i know who she delt with...she said fine so she handed our friend the phone and when she reads the number of the employee off the receipt he says are you sure she’s black because we don’t have any black people who work here?! and she said no I am black and he said well i figured...she’s been with us for years... BUT i will TRY to go over it with her and take care of it....Are you kidding me?! yeah i’m done with boscovs! He said it as if to say we don’t have any of your kind that work here....All i can say is this shame on the Manager and shame on that old woman that works there. i’ve got news for both of you WE ALL BLEED RED.
