This one on the West Shore opened about 6 months ago but I haven't had a chance to visit (more like totally forgot about it). Recently they ran a promo with a $5 off for downloading their mobile app -- a perfect opportunity to try it out.
The place was surprisingly crowded, thanks to the holiday shoppers. We got the last table. The lady taking my order was very friendly. The dining area was organized and clean.
Much like Panera Bread and Bonbon Cafe, you order and pay at the counter and the server brings the food to you.
We order 3 Noodle dishes:
Spicy Korean Beef Noodles $8.69 Steak Strogenoff $8.79 Alfredo MonteAmore $8.59
We put the number placard on the table, and within 5-10 minutes our noodles were served.
The Korean Noodle was good, very spicy, but that little bit of tangy-ness got old near the end. My wife's Strogenoff was OK. My son loved the Alfredo though a bit too cheesy he said; chicken was nice and tender. All noodles were cooked al dente, good texture on each bite. They gave generous amount of proteins for all 3 dishes. I thought the prices were very reasonable. I wish they have a location downtown Harrisburg near work so I can have quick noodles for lunch from...
Read moreI'm torn between 3 and 4 stars because there was nothing "technically" wrong with the food, but it just wasn't great. This was my first time ever at a Noodles & Co. I went in at lunch time and there was no one else in there, which was sort of concerning. I was greeted upon entry by the store manager, and I ordered the chicken parm. I then took a seat, and the manager brought the food out to me very shortly after. My initial thoughts are it was like a glorified TV dinner. Again, there was nothing really "technically" wrong with the food, it just wasn't impressive. Even the container the food was served in reminded me of a TV dinner, but overpriced ($10). It was noodles, marinara sauce, breaded chicken, and cheese on top, in that order. I just wasn't impressed. The manager was nice. While I was eating, a few more people came in to order and I heard them be told that the registers were down and it would be about a 10 minute wait. I likely won't return. It's really just fast food noodles - something you can make at home for less and better taste or order...
Read moreI stopped in at the Camp Hill Noodles and Company and asked for a salad and gluten free mac and cheese. The person who took my order said I needed to order a chicken caesar or mediterranean salad. I said can I just have a salad with no chicken and nothing spicey. So I watch her put like a hand full of lettuce in a bowl, it maybe came half way up, then a sprinkle of grated cheese. I asked if that was all that was going in the salad. The reply was yes this is a chicken caesar with no chicken. At lease they could have added some more lettuce. Another person turned around and said that was my choice. I said I didn't want it, honestly I couldn't see paying nearly $8 for a handful of lettuce. She gave me a refund, but it is a shame they didn't have the autonomy to add a few extra ingredients to appease a customer. I took the gluten free mac and cheese and left. Then when I went to eat my mac and cheese it wasn't cooked thoroughly, yugg. Outside of the shell was soft, but center firm,...
