Giving it two stars because the back massage was the only good thing. The hair treatment felt like someone was shampooing my hair for one hour. It wasn't relaxing. Also, there was no conversation or mention about what products were being used at specific times. The scalp "massage" was just scratching the hair and that feels raw after a while. I've never had one done before, but I was extremely disappointed for what it was. This is not for curly hair individuals. My hair got very tangled and they tried to brush it and that was not happening. I could feel knots and she tried to pull to take out the knots, which she realized that was not smart and stopped at my reaction. There was no pressure either. I honestly could not feel a thing. She just folded my hair over and over. Again, never done this before, so wasn't sure what to expect. But I thought my scalp was going to be massaged. Idk, I think for straight hair, this would be perfect. But for curly hair I think they need practice. Felt like they were hesitant to "dig" into the hair. They were very nice, and offered to blow dry. Which I declined because well...I was quite certain they might not have the tools for my kind of hair. The products they used smelt good though. Hoping they can learn from this and make it more inclusive.
For context I have 3c hair
Side note: The lady that did my body massage was amazing. She explained what she was doing prior to doing it, made sure I felt comfortable, and I had no discomfort whatsoever. Honestly the massage was the only thing...

My hair: straight, bleached/colored
This was a special treat for myself. I had only had one other head spa experience and I wanted to try some place new. I'm so happy I did!
I was asked to undress from the top up due to the upper massage. I had removed all my earrings prior though couldn't remove my necklace as it is a perm necklace. Courtney was able to work around it and still deliver a great head/shoulder/face massage.
If you have any sensitives to perfumed products, do let her know. I don't so I really enjoyed the scented products she used.
After the massage, she worked on my hair, doing a double shampoo and conditioner routine. During each part, she would massage my head and handle my hair and scalp with gentle care. Again, heavily scented products, though I did not mind. However, I did notice a tingly/cool sensation during the conditioner part so I just endured until it was washed off.
It got a bit cold toward the end for me so I kinda wish there was another blanket to use. Oh, the bed had a vibrating massage thing. It was alright. It would also be nice if it was heated kuz who doesn't want that?
After everything was done, I was escorted out for blow drying. Definitely not a blow out (not that I expected it) but it still left my hair feeling nice. I know I have a lot of hair so she wasn't able to fully dry it all, but I didn't mind.
I will definitely be back for...
Read moreI highly recommend getting your head spa treatment here. Courtney has a lot of knowledge about how to keep your scalp and hair healthy. I got the Ayurvedic Shiro-lepa, which is about an hour and a half session. It came with a scalp massage, detox of the scalp, product rubbed and massaged into the scalp, an upper body massage in the chest area, shoulders, arms, etc. The hair wash felt nice too as she was massaging the shampoo onto the hair. When the water touches your hair, it makes you wanna relax and fall asleep. I came out with my hair feeling soft and scalp feeling refreshed and clean. Thank you again, Courtney for educating me on how to keep my hair and...
