I purchased a $100 dollar visa gift card only to find out the numbers had been scraped off, the security code had been scraped off and the magnetic bar had been disabled. Within an hour of finding this I tried to return it to the store. The managers response, while holding my obviously fraudulent card "We do not accept returns of gift cards, I'm sorry we should have taken better care of the gift cards but there is nothing we can do to help you. Please call this phone number." Called phone number. "We are so sorry for this inconvenience, but we activated the card and now there is nothing we can do. Has this helped with your problem? Would you like to sign up for an online target account?" Like seriously, would you like to give us more information we will allow to be stolen without caring about you at all.
Target is not following Retail Express/Implied Warranty laws. These laws exist to allow consumers to purchase goods and services without having to worry about exactly these types of problems. These laws ensure that items sold at a retail outlet will work as intended to make sure the economy is able to stay secure because consumers can spend while being protected from harm.
Now in 2024 Target and other brick and mortar outlets literally act as middle men for gift card scams.
I found the bank that issued the card and now they are doing an investigation as well. I can definitely say my faith in brick and mortar shopping is officially gone now. I'll take proper customer service over incompetence every single day of the week. Amazon only...

We purchase Pokemon cards from this store quite often. On one of our recent purchases, we discovered that the package we bought had the cards taken out of it, replaced with other cards, and the box was carefully resealed (using glue) and returned to the store. There was even a major item missing and the box came apart quite easily. We contacted online customer service about this. We were told that after explaining our situation to a manager in store, we would get a refund no problem. When we went back to the store, we were met with hesitation. The person at the counter simply stated they do not take back open Pokemon cards. However, we had been sold open cards by the store that had been resealed by someone else, so this was more than simply returning open cards. When we explained that we’d spoken with customer service online and that a manager should be able to help us, we were told that he’d do it “just this once” and went through with the refund. To us, this means that if we were to get scammed again at this store, there is a chance we would not get our money back. This is not ok. When we went back to see their stock, we discovered OPEN PACKAGES of Pokemon cards in the aisle. There is clearly a theft and scam problem and Target should do better to...
Read moreTarget’s pickup service has been an absolute game-changer for me. The process is quick, comfortable, and incredibly easy to use. Selecting a pickup slot is seamless - just shop online, choose your preferred time, and wait for the confirmation. It’s perfect for busy days when you need to grab essentials without spending extra time wandering the aisles.
What makes it even better is their designated parking lot for pickups. Once you arrive, all you have to do is park in the marked spaces and let them know you’re there via the app. The staff is prompt and friendly, bringing out your order in no time. I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes, even during busy times.
The service is also incredibly reliable. Everything I’ve ordered has been packed well, and they notify you of any substitutions or unavailable items in advance, giving you the option to approve or decline. The attention to detail and customer satisfaction is evident every time.
Overall, Target Pickup offers a stress-free and efficient shopping experience. Whether it’s groceries, household items, or last-minute necessities, this service makes shopping so much easier. It’s the perfect blend of speed and...
