Been waiting for Cava to open since they first announced it in their website's job listings a while ago 📄 This will be one of their first locations in the area can't wait 🤩 Their braised lamb is halal and goes well with their saffron rice 🔥 This is a very good location 🙌🏼
UPDATE: Their grand opening was today July 20th! I got there about 20 minutes before they opened, line was not long yet only about 15 people 🔜 Once we got inside they welcomed us and gave everyone tote bags with a cookie and Cava cup inside🥤The dining area is beautifully done and spacious one of the bigger locations I've seen plenty of space for people waiting in line and for people to eat and pickup their food 🍛Ordering was a smooth process and the line was moving at a steady pace 💯 If you download the app you can sign up for their rewards and use it inside or when ordering online 📲 I had the build your own bowl with saffron rice 🍚 braised lamb 🐑 cucumbers + tomatoes 🥒🍅 red pepper hummus 🌶️tzatziki ⚪️ skhug 🌿 garlic 🧄 and hot harissa vinaigrette 🔥 it also comes with a free pita on the side 🫓 and you can choose to get hot harissa pita chips and a drink as well if you want 🍹My bowl was incredible, very fresh and full of different flavors that go very well together 🤩 The hot harissa pita chips were crispy and fluffy at the same time, they were well seasoned too! Dipping them in the hummus and tzatziki was delicious and reminds me of traditional middle eastern bread but crispier 😍 Their drinks are made in house I've had the strawberry citrus in the past so I went with the blueberry lavender lemonade which was unique and refreshing 🫐 Mrs. Mo was super friendly and welcoming to everyone asking them how was everything and making sure things were going well 👏🏼 They have booster seats available for the little ones and a changing table for babies in the bathroom which was clean and open so you can wash your hands after done eating 🧼 There is a good amount of parking in their lot and the market parking lot right next door 🚙 The drive thru is for picking up mobile orders and you can also pick them up inside as well🚪Overall it's five stars for fantastic food and service if you love rice bowls this place is a...
Read moreI would've rather email this but couldn't find a direct contact. I'm in TN and love CAVA here. My boyfriend went for the first time today (7/30/25) in the evening (mentioning this so the specific staff can be addressed), at the Canton, MI location and his experience was enough for him not to come back. While he was making his order, I was on the phone with him so I could hear everything. He ordered a Harissa Avocado bowl from the menu which is usually assembled according to the recipe cards unless you substitute something. He was repeatedly asked what he wanted in the bowl and stated that he wanted everything that's supposed to come with it. By the time he got to the register, he repeatedly said that his bowl is missing the avocado and was told it would be extra. I was yelling on the phone, to him, "It comes WITH the bowl; tell the cashier again what kind of bowl you ordered". Usually the staff assembling the food communicates with the cashier about the order. He said there was no communication and food was being thrown down the counter. His order was mixed up with someone else who ordered a steak bowl. He observed the professionalism of the line staff to be lacking as well as the manager. I know this is a new location and there is room for growth but this is just feedback to support the staff with learning the menu, communicating with each other and presenting themselves professionally. He observed a customer crying from their interaction. The worst thing is to start out the gate wrong, creating a reputation where no one will want to come to...
Read moreIf you enjoy frustrating dining experiences, CAVA may be right up your alley.
For starters, they were out of half the ingredients. I went in for a chicken shawarma, which they were out of, so I opted for the steak and feta pita instead. Even then, they were out of half of the ingredients for that! And for how fatty it was, they should change the name to gristle and feta.
Next, the restaurant was absolutely filthy. Nearly every table was dirty, all garbage cans were overflowing, and there was an assortment of utensils and napkins all over the floor. I also observed an employee changing out the garbage, using his hands to push the trash down so that he could tie the bag. This in itself is nothing out of the ordinary, except he then proceeded to restock the utensils, straws, and cups without changing his gloves.
Lastly, the service and the staff was abysmal. There was eight people behind the counter and it was painfully clear that at least half of them had no idea what was going on. One person would scoop something into my pita, and then disappear. After a minute or two, somebody else would take the initiative and scoop something else into my sandwich before disappearing themselves. This store lacks effective leadership and it shows in all aspects.
For only being a little over a month old, you would think that they would be a little more on top of their gams. With all of these issues, I will not give them my business again, and with all of the other better Mediterranean options in the area, do yourself a favor and go...
