Dollar General — Local services in Canyonville

Not satisfied with the customer service that I received there were two people on shift and one stayed in the office as the other stood at register there was a long line and the other woman never came out to help. And to top it off they called me two days ago for an interview, I came on time waited for 15 min patiently when. Store cleared out I then let the cashier know that I was there for an interview mind you to kill the 15 minutes I was waiting I went through and put all the makeup that was not where it should have been where it went and organized. Well when the cashier went into the office to let the other female know I was here she didn't even bother to come out and say anything to me. She told the cashier to tell me that she was no longer interested, and she never even met me or spoke with me. Didn't even come out to say sorry for not calling and letting you know that they no longer needed someone for the position. Just a I'm not interested and it didn't even come from her. So then I stood in line again for another 10 min to purchase a couple of items and low and behold was not delt with so I set the stuff I had down on the counter and walked out. To be honest I found that they are very rude. Complete waste of my time and my gas. But I have a job at UPS and I was hired at the Dollar general in tri-city. So it has nothing to do with past history also I have not even been charged with any crimes. They hadn't even started a background check yet cause this was the fist interview. So I don't know ow why the sudden change of heart on interviewing me but I feel that she could have still met with me regardless if I was being hired or not instead of rudly tell me she is no longer interested in me. Grrrr I would give less stars if it we're an option. Also the store was a mess nothing was organized or cleaned. This was my experience today at the Dollar general in canyonville . I will not be coming back to this store I will continue to use myrtle Creek tri city Dollar general. I wish I knew who was the head honcho out here because I would certainly be...

If it was possible to give -10 ⭐ I absolutely would this is the worst establishment I have ever made the mistake of entering!!! We are staying at the nearby casino for a few nights for my husband's birthday and we went in to get a few things and look around after shopping around the store I processed to the register to pay, I placed all of my items on the counter and the cashier rang everything up and then he says "and the makeup?" I was confused and replied that I didn't have any makeup, he then rudely tells me "yes you do I seen you grab it." shocked by his accusations I told him that I only took down a couple sets of eyelashes looked at them seen how cheap and low quality they were and put them back. He then once again says "yes you do I seen you grab makeup" and at this point I am quite bothered by his false accusations and very rude speculation and tell him I just told you I didn't take anything and he then tells me "just because you say it doesn't mean it's true!" So I say "EXACTLY! Just because you say it doesn't mean that it's true! So feel free to check your cameras to circumstantiate what I am saying" I had over $60 in merchandise I was buying why would I steal some $2 eyelashes that were garbage? I then told him that I wasn't going to spend a single dollar at that store and succumb to that type of unwarranted behavior. He then says "well I am going to have to check your purse." I was beyond aggravated but I allowed him to because I knew he was wrong so I opened my purse and he proceeded to stick his hand in my purse and grab out some eyelashes that were not from there and he said "and what is this!" And I replied "lashes that are not even the same brand as anything here!" And he took a second look and said "oh I guess your right." And put them back and that was it, no sorry no consideration for the inconvenience or embarrassment he had caused NOTHING!!! I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO THAT PLACE AGAIN AND I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT HE IS ALLOWED TO TREAT PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT THIEVES LIKE THAT WITH NO REPERCUSSIONS OR REMORSE FOR...

Very unpleasant experience in this store, I would NOT reccomend anyone going to this dollar general. The store manager, Katie, was extremely rude,unpleasant and unprofessional. She made me feel very uncomfortable the second I walked in as she came up to me complaining about how i put something back on the already messy & cluttered shelf. She then proceeded to tell me and everyone in the store how she would be sitting in her office watching me on the cameras. Which was extremely humiliating as she made me feel as if she thought I would shoplift, which I have never done that in my entire life. All because I accidentally set an item back on the shelf in the wrong spot. The shelves were so messy and cluttered I wasnt even sure where the correct spot to put the item was even. This all happened within the first 5 minutes of being in the store. I love dollar generals and have been going to them since I was a kid but this experience has got me thinking twice about going into this store ever again and almost not wanting to go into any dollar generals if they are going to allow their employees...
