I went to Dana's Hallmark Shop today. I was kindly greeted by a staff member who opened the door but then looked down to my side and saw my service dog-Creed. He was vested, leashed and well-behaved. He did not show any problematic behaviors. She said we could not come in due to my service dog. I was very disappointed as he spent years in training. Service dogs also cost thousands of dollars. We have been a team for four years and have never been excluded anywhere. The staff member was kind enough to pick out a few cards for us to pick from, however the magic happens when you are able to pick out your own cards! I felt as if my rights were violated. You can only ask a team to leave if the dog is not task-trained or if they are posing a threat...
