Bud Board Dispensary — Local services in Carlsbad

I recently encountered a troubling situation that significantly heightened my anxiety. For those passing through town, be aware that this dispensary charges state tax to medical patients unless you join their club.

Interestingly, the manager yelled at my back to “never come back to her establishment,” even though I don’t live here; I made that clear when they asked me if I had signed up for their rewards program and I told them I had never been to their location, or Carlsbad before.

As a disabled medical cardholder, this was the worst dispensary experience I’ve ever had. They charged me state tax, and when I asked why, they claimed they either didn’t see my card when I presented it or accused me of having a fake card. They then told me I wasn’t welcome and to never return. The female manager and Nico demonstrated a complete lack of compassion for sick medical patients. Despite making it clear that I was just passing through and needed help sleeping, they spoke over me—actually yelled over me—which is exactly what someone with PTSD who hasn’t slept in over 24 hours needs, right?

I’ve reported the incident to the state. Just a heads up if you find yourself in a similar situation.

Best dispensary in Carlsbad! The staff is super amazing and very helpful. They treat you more like friends or family rather than just another customer. They’re always stocked up but even if they’re out of something you want, they have similar or even better recommendations for another product. Def going back every time I’m in NM 😁 also, I love their setup and that they have multiple rooms. The others I’ve been to just have a menu to pick from without being able to see or smell anything or just 1 strain of Indica and 1 of sativa, no concentrate, edibles etc. OSO didn’t even have any prerolls when I went in. Ultra health had some but they were in resealable bags instead of tubes like BB has and they were all shoved in a bag, which made them really flat. So I stopped by budboard for the first time in maybe 2 months and my old friend Nico was there as my bud tender, and just as I expected this man’s came with the best recommendations, on top of that the attitude and vibe from him was super dope!!!! And on top of even all that my guy even spotted me on that extra few bucks I was missing straight out his very own tip Jar!! Can’t be thankful enough for my boy and can’t wait to go Back , I hope he’s my budtender next because I know he’ll always keep it real and point me to the best product not just the product needing to be gone first cause it old or over stocked!!!
