This is a great lake, there is many areas we're you can fish and do aquatic sports, many people comes here for picnic or walk around, there is several areas we're you can fish from the bank or even in a kayak or boat. The water is clear with good visibility hold catfish and bass, stripe and large mount, as well panfish if you like ultralight fishing. The lake gets wide at the south end and you can cross by a floating bridge. You can come many times and don't see the same area...

It's nice here. There are a few spots to fish. Very friendly to fishing. I've seen catfish, bass, carp, and crappies. Only caught crappies though. The NM game and fish does check for licenses so be prepared. You can get them online or at a Walmart there. I got them at the Big 5...
