Shopping at Leather Groups was a great experience, and the furniture is so solid and high quality. I drove to the office in Carlsbad, and they were able to meet me on a Saturday and answer my many questions, and explain the process. They provided lots of leather samples in the mail, and when I visited the showroom they gave me some larger pieces to really get the feel for the leathers. It helped to sit on one of the couches and see it in real life. The ordering process was very smooth, and the upfront communication was great. My chair (Braxton chair and a half) was delivered to the room of my choice, and it was delivered in excellent condition. It is stunning and so comfortable! I ordered the chair in brompton cocoa leather, and I love the smooth, buttery feel.

Overall, it was a very good experience and I would definitely order their furniture again. Here are a couple of things that could use improvement/to think about before ordering: Order fulfillment is quite slow right now, probably due to increased orders, and slow international leather shipments. I was told it would take 8-10 business weeks for my order to complete. It ended up being about 13 business weeks. I wouldn’t normally care too much about that- it’s a nonessential item, and I’ll be as patient as I need to be, as long as I receive communication. But see point 2. Order fulfillment communication was poor. They say that you will receive an email about a week before your order is complete, and not much/anything before that. I’m fine with that. But I didn’t receive an email until business week 10, which should have been when my piece would be completed (based on their timeline). In that email I was told my furniture would be ready during business week 11. By the end of week 12 I had received no further communication despite sending emails (with questions about how my credit card would be charged) and calling twice. Emails and calls went unanswered, until I persisted. I finally received the chair at the end of business week 13 (local delivery), but only after actively seeking out communication. On the front-end, communication was great, but I did feel blatantly ignored when my emails and calls were not returned. When I did get in touch with them, I could tell they really cared, so I’m sure it was just that they were busy. Still, they would benefit from hiring someone who can dedicate some time to communicating...

Elated that I found this company! Over the years, I've had such a hard time buying proper leather furniture from retailers. Their employees are mostly clueless as to what the different grades of leather are. Or what kind of treatment the leather received on pieces in their showrooms. Sadly going online to get further information on those same pieces usually proves a very frustrating endeavour. With the lack of a full leather description, or the use of vague terms. Let alone finding really good quality full grain leather used on anything, these days, without paying an arm and a leg for a minuscule piece. So that brings me to these fine gentleman and their magnificent artisans behind the scenes. We met with Rich and Jerry to discuss getting a couple of easy chairs made. They were extremely knowledgeable about all things leather. Immediately we knew we had the right place for our project. After settling on a design (a tweaked Julien) and selecting the leather (Burnham Beige), it was a waiting game. We knew it would be. Fully informed along the way, we eagerly waited. A couple of months or so later, we received our beautiful chairs! The white glove delivery was superb. Even better was how our chairs turned out. Simply fantastic. The workmanship is spectacular. Comfort level is second to none. They used only premium materials and top notch techniques. The end result of all the re-designing of the Julien, including adding custom metal feet, is outstanding. Better than any showroom piece I could've gotten. And to top it all, the price we paid was quite reasonable. Much less than what we would pay for at retail shops, for what would most likely be a much weaker piece of furniture.

We ordered the Braxton loveseat and sofa with chaise in Berkshire camel, and it is amazing!! A cousin of ours recommended LeatherGroups, and we were not disappointed. We live in California, and Jerry was kind enough to meet us on a weekend and show us the models and leather they had in their warehouse. He spent a lot of time with us face to face, by phone, and via email. He was very responsive and pleasant to work with. There was a slight delay in the delivery schedule, but only because they didn't like the quality of hide they were going to use, so they ordered another. They definitely go above and beyond. The delivery was easy and without issue- they even went in to an explanation for us about the leather and were very knowledgeable about the product as well. The couches themselves are amazing and very very forgiving. We have two toddlers, and they have left their mark on the couches several times in the form of scuffs and scratches. All I need to do is use a damp cloth and rub them out. It's wonderful!!! The back pillows are heavy and firm, but not uncomfortable. The seat cushions are more firm, and do not move around with use.
