POOR WARRANTY SERVICE I have been a long time customer of this location. In addition to many basic items, I have purchased two grills and a smoker. While the initial delivery is always great, I recently attempted to have warranty work done on my Traeger smoker. I went to the store on a Sunday with a Warranty Authorization form that I received from Traeger and spoke with one of the clerks in the store. They informed me that the person I needed to speak with was not there that day. They copied the form and said I would hear from him when he was back in the store. After not hearing for a few days, I called the store and after two attempts was able to speak with the person who repairs the grills. He was rude during the entire conversation and said many times he had never seen the form that I had left with the clerk. After some discussion he informed me that IF they did the work it, there were two grills in front of me, so it would be 4 to 6 weeks before he could get to it. So, I have decided to try to fix it myself. If I can't I may buy another Traeger grill but certainly not from this location. The point of the story is, these folks are great on sales and poor on service. Perhaps they should just inform people that they don't...
Read moreI visited the store looking for a Plaskolite Optix Clear Single Acrylic Sheet. Knowing that items like acrylic and glass are often kept in employee-only sections, I asked for assistance. Initially, an older employee told me they didn’t have any in stock. After I insisted and asked several times, he very reluctantly went to check—only to find not just a few, but plenty of the sheets available.
Throughout the interaction, he was visibly grumpy and unhelpful. I even considered asking if something was wrong because his demeanor was so off-putting. When I asked if they could cut the sheet for me, he flatly refused, saying that due to the “busy season,” no one had time to cut a 0.1mm acrylic sheet. Oddly enough, there were three employees standing idly in the “help hub,” so it was hard to understand what he meant by being too busy.
Ultimately, I’ll likely take the sheet to Benge’s Ace Hardware, where I’m confident the staff will be more courteous and willing to help.
This was by far one of the worst retail experiences I’ve had. I hope this serves as a...
Read moreI am a bona fide live human being writing this review of White's Ace Hardware. The store has a nice, easily accessible parking area. There's parking right by the building. Automatic doors appeared easily accessible to wheelchairs, walkers and mobility carts. Aisles are wide and well organized, easy to maneuver. There are many gardening items, a group of small batch preserves and jellys, wild bird food, tools, home repair items, paint, paint brushes, lightbulbs and much more.. There were at least 3 employees available to help to assist if one asks. The congenial young man at the checkout register wished me a cheerful greeting as I left the store. Among the interesting signs on the entry doors were a 'We Are Hiring' sign and a 'Services Offered' sign. 'Sharpening' was one service offered. I will call back to find out what that includes, as I would love to find someone to sharpen some of my gardening tools. There was a large covered outdoor area with mum's and other attractive fall flowers I did not have time to explore. Potting soils are...
