Carnation Market — Local services in Carnation

This store, which is the only grocery store in Carnation, has gone through several different owners over the years. When IGA first took over a few years ago, they had a problem with pricing. Especially with the produce section. Lots of mistakes. But now, they have evolved into a pretty good "small town" grocery store. Their deli offers food made in-store, and their overall selection is adequate. Best of all, the staff is very friendly, and professional. This place has the best staff of any grocery store I have been to. The are amazing. The only thing I would say, is the meat department is always lacking. I work for a large restaurant cooperation and I understand the "supply" issue. There is no issue anymore. I must say, go to any other grocery store and the selection is way better and more consistent. We would shop there more if the had more or better selection. Rating on a curve as it is the only supermarket in Carnation, it is okay. But I would consider it underwhelming in terms of selection and store ambiance. They are affiliated with IGA, so the store does offer weekly ad specials. But otherwise, the pricing seems higher here than competing stores. The QFC in Redmond Ridge and Safeway in Duvall both offer a better overall shopping experience than this store, so this is more of a store tailored toward the Carnation...
