I came into firefly looking for something for my girlfriend, and it definitely took a lot of searching. The prices aren’t TERRIBLE but they're not good compared to, say, Lightyears and the quality is better at Sophia’s. What set me off was the way one employee, a tall, slightly overweight, Asian woman was speaking to customers near me. Consistent rude remarks. Despite the distaste, I bought some resin earrings and left. The first time my girlfriend tried them they fell off and smashed instantly. I would bring them back, but as it turns out there’s a no-returns policy unless you want store credit. Not coming here again.

I have to say your response is very indicative of a business disinterested in customer feedback. There is nothing racist in describing someone's skin tone unless used as some kind of reason for their behaviour which it was not. As my greatest concern regarding your business was poor customer treatment, I felt no confidence in addressing my concerns at the time as it felt clear to me that I would be shown the same level of disdain.

Read moreI stopped by tonight at 15 minutes to 6pm with my 10 year old daughter to get supplies to make a necklace. We were IMMEDIATELY informed that they close at 6pm. Like most small retail stores I assumed that if we were there a couple minutes after 6 it wouldn't be a big deal because we were clearly going to make a purchase. ABSOLUTELY NOT. We were made to feel incredibly uncomfortable while trying to grab the last couple beads she wanted at 6:03 and the worker clearly stated 'it's after 6, I need to go.' I'm not saying that it was ok for us to be shopping after 6 when they were supposed to close, however if you want to keep people coming back sometimes you need to make an exception. I will never enter that store again and I'm extremely disappointed at they way they treated both me and my daughter. We ended the trip by just handing them all the stuff we were going to buy and leaving. Extremely unprofessional in a retail setting.
Side note, another customer came in just prior to 6pm, only needing a back to a single earring and the staff gave her a countdown of minutes till they close instead of just helping her. She would have been out of the store faster had they just helped her instead of letting her know how quickly they...
