This is an updated review. All good. I would reach out separately to the Napoli staff or ownership, but I do not know any other way to communicate a suggestion. We had a family gathering (10), including our out of town daughter's family of 4. I tried booking a reservation a few days in advance via RESY, but was unsuccessful. I tried calling, but Napoli does not answer their phone during business hours. So I made a special trip in person and spoke with a young man who reserved two tables at 6:45 for the following night, which was their earliest availability. I was thrilled as I wanted our whole family (6 adults and 4 kids) to experience this great place (see prior review below). I received a confirmation the day of our reservation, but it was only for a party of 6. If I checked "no," we cancelled the reservation. If I checked yes, there was a chance the 2nd table wasn't booked. Those are the only choices. I checked yes and hoped it covered both tables since you can't confirm by phone. So, of course, we show up on time and only one table was reserved. Fortunately, there was a cancellation right at that moment and we got to all sit together for a wonderful experience. Fast forward to this week when we were fortunate to get reservations at Curate in Asheville. They too sent a confirming reservation request but it also included a phone number if there were any questions or concerns about the reservation. If I could make one suggestion to Napoli's management, it would be to include a phone number with the hours available (2:00 - 4:00 pm?) when they would answer the phone to clear up any discrepancies. Thanks again for a wonderful experience we shared with our family.
Prior review from 5 years ago: My wife and I had no real expectations when we walked in to this hybrid brick and mortar and food truck establishment. My wife ordered the Calabria (goat cheese, mozzarella, Spanish chorizo and a drizzle of honey) and I ordered the Parma (mozzarella, prosciutto, tomato sauce and arugula) and we got a very nice bottle of French GSM red blend wine for $20. All were outstanding. Crust was thin, but not too thin and cooked to a golden brown without burning. Fresh ingredients in perfect harmony with a fine server behind the counter....
Read moreI stumbled upon this hidden gem during the peak of the COVID pandemic, and it's safe to say it was a happy accident. Since that fortunate discovery, my family and I make the weekly pilgrimage from Cary to this pizza haven .
We're self-proclaimed pizza fanatics, having savored Neapolitan pizza and sampled slices from all pizza joints in NC and NYC to everywhere in between. But, let me tell you, this place surpasses them all.
Their pizza base is a revelation – soft and fluffy, the ideal canvas for my all-time favorite, the Greca. The flavors in this pizza combined with the excellent quality ingredients are a symphony of deliciousness that dance on your taste buds like no other.
But it's not just the pizza that keeps us coming back. The staff, including the owner, are genuinely friendly and incredibly accommodating, making every visit feel like a warm welcome. And speaking of visits, go there on the weekend, and the bustling crowd will testify to the excellence of this place.
Don't make the mistake of leaving without trying their gelato. It's simply divine, a sweet ending to a perfect meal.
The success of this joint is undeniable. From its humble beginnings as a food truck during COVID, it has expanded into two adjacent commercial spaces, a testament to its popularity.
In summary, if you're a pizza lover seeking a place that not only meets but exceeds your expectations, this is it. Five stars all...
Read moreThe absolute best pizza I've had. I love the minimalism of the ingredients, and the OBVIOUS high quality of the food. The slight char on the crust adds yummy flavor and charm to the pizzas. The pizza itself is super light and never leaves me feeling stuffed or sluggish afterward. They're always running specials which is awesome! Also, you HAVE to grab some gelato, I've had multiple flavors and they're all delicious. I find the outdoor seating area charming and enjoy sitting there for a bit even after my meal, there's even heaters for when it's chilly. How cool is that?
I don't find anything about the restaurant confusing, it's straight forward. Place your order inside, grab a spot outside, hang out and enjoy your company while you wait for some pizza. Even if I generally had a longer wait time I wouldn't mind here because I know my food is being made fresh. If you have any questions I know from personal experience the staff is super helpful and nice...
