The vender with the initials RF or RK did me wrong! My boyfriend had bought some old pressed tin. The pieces were rusty but we fixed it up. I went back in hopes that he had more. He was there and he had one other piece and told me if I wanted the others I could come back for them, he had to get them down from storage. I told him I'd like to have as many pieces as I could get. I paid the same as my boyfriend did and we discussed the other pieces also being $8. I told I even was interested in some other larger nicer tiles as well. I went back the next week two times. But he didn't have them available yet. Finally after leaving my # a second time they called and left a message. They said they were left two but I got up there quickly after starting my bathroom ceiling with this particular tin and He went UP in the price!!!! I couldn't believe it. He not only went up he more than doubled it!!! He went from $7 to $25. One of the two ladies that helped me before was there and she was polite. The other woman who was clearly in charge ( I wanna say her name was Sharon) was just a rude, nasty woman. She even said to the other woman " I can't believe he would sell it to her at that price to begin with" Atleast the other woman called him at home. He even told her they were out if a building in Maine. Which is totally different then what he had told me originally. He was confused in the tin and I'm sure he was referring to the other bigger nicer pieces. But they would not leave him a message to call me or anything. I couldn't believe it. That is just bad business! I had already done alot if shopping there and would have continued bit now NoWay!!! Those people are horrible in there. I feel sorry for the women that have to work under that one and also have to be scared to call someone at home. Wow! Really! I found nicer antique tin elsewhere. I would suggest Golightlys on Davis Blvd. N....
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. I went to this antique mall back in September during the Carrollton food festival. My friends and I were browsing and looking at all the cool stuff this store had, I saw a vintage snoopy stuffed toy and within 5 seconds a woman who I’m assuming is the owner, snatched the snoopy out of my hands and walked away whilst saying to me- “I’ll hold it up there for you!” Initially, I found it to be odd that she did that, then realized other people were grabbing things and walking around the store with it, and she was no where to be found to treat them the same way she treated me. The products are still clutched in their arms while I had to be humiliated and saddened that this woman singled out the only black person in the store and automatically assumed that I would steal the products in her store. It is safe to say I will never come here again and I encourage others of all backgrounds to avoid this place they call an establishment. There are other antique shops out there that will...
Read moreHad a great time finding some collectors items but checkout ruined the good vibes. I asked if one of the items showed the sale advertised and the lady (round, short, younger than the rest) was rude and snapped back “Yes we got it!” To make matters worse she did not ask me if I wanted a receipt - so I mistakenly assumed she put it in the bag. When I get home from hitting several places that day there was no receipt so I have no idea how much she charged me for each item because they cut the tags off everything! So do I believe she gave me the sale price “NO”! Do I remember what price was on each item? No! I purchased many items that day (and got a receipt from the other 3 places!!!) and only remember how much one item was because it was locked up and I had to inquire about it. If you do go I hope you don’t get the lady I did to check you out! And don’t forget to ask...
